Best weapon for classroom defense?

Years ago almost every male teacher was a Veteran. Not so much anymore so you can assume a lack of familiarity among the college educated about firearms. Lefties and ignorant others tend to blur the line between authorizing teachers to pack heat if they choose to do so and ordering them to carry a weapon. The latter is pure fiction. Teachers don't need to engage in a gunfight nor is it good strategy. Maniacs who pick kids are usually cowards who choose a soft target and a single shot will usually cause a coward to flee. A small revolver is ideal. Easily concealable and there is no safety to worry about or concern about a round in the chamber and pulling the slide. Point and pull the trigger on five or six .38 caliber rounds while the shooter is focused on something else. It's your best bet.

An entire profession has NOT been decimated. Your hyperbole is a touch out of control.

If no teacher wishes to -- I doubt you can speak for all of them -- then they don't have to. This is what My sentence implied. Comprehension is key.

Hardening the Schools is the better solution anyway.

What would you consider a "decimation" then?

Just a taste:
