Bergdahl Left A Note

A review of the database of casualties in the Afghan war suggests that Sergeant Bergdahl’s critics appear to be blaming him for every American soldier killed in Paktika Province in the four-month period that followed his disappearance.

Rear Adm. John F. Kirby, the Pentagon spokesman, said that there was a larger matter at play: The American military does not leave soldiers behind. “When you’re in the Navy, and you go overboard, it doesn’t matter if you were pushed, fell or jumped,” he said. “We’re going to turn the ship around and pick you up.”

Well, that's a load of shit.

My two Uncles were in the Navy during WWII and they told me of multiple incidents of men overboard that they didn't bother with. They couldn't

If you're in a convoy of five hundred ships, and you got hunter-killer subs on your ass and hundreds of ships behind you and you're running dark and.....

That is a stupid statement by a stupid man.

Yes, in the peace time Navy, a man falls overboard? You go back for him.

But I keep hearing how we're in a War now.

Something the Liar in Chief has been denying since he infested the Office.

Remember? "Overseas Contingency Operations" or some such shit? Refusing to use the word 'War'?

Remember?

Of course not.

Now we're going to have to listen to ragheads the world over screaming that the criminals in Gitmo are POWs instead of what they are -- War Criminals

Yeah guess who the dipshit was who posted the link to the article that was copied from!

Look in the mirror.

Has Hillary, our president in waiting, made known her judgement on this issue...or is it what difference at this point does it make...?

The way this appears to be unravelling the Hildebeast should stay out of it for now IMO to avoid being on the wrong side if the shit really does hit the fan. Then when the dust finally settles she can take a stance either praising Barry or reminding everyone she told them he was a lightweight not ready for that 3 a.m. phone call.

Bergdahl Left A Note

And?

CiC made the right decision.

Bergdahl is back in military control.

What will happen will happen.

There is no way to sugar coat this. We traded 5 dangerous threats so one prick could come home.we did this "because his life was in danger?" Should of let him die. "Sorry dad we did our best but you know them pricks in the Taliban, and well...your son was an idiot." Instead it was, "lets go find him and get good men killed in Taliban ambushes.' As a former marine infantryman I understand never leave a man behind. This person was not being left behind...he walked away and renounced the United states. game over.

Note, IF TRUE, also note:

The most intense search operation, leaked war reports show, wound down after eight days — well before the deaths of six soldiers on patrols in Paktika Province in late August and early September.

There are most certainly lies, but from where is the question.

the operation did not come to an end after 8 days.......

the intensity wound down after 8 days.

The search continued for months.

That was in the article posted.

If Bergdahl left a note saying he was deserting, then the military knew that when they were searching for him, right?

So the "six guys died" thing was a decision the military made for the sake of a deserter.

Right?

And yet the official Pentagon story all this time has been that he was lured off base by some Afghan soldiers and then captured by the Taliban. They never once said he had deserted.

Let's see the note.

Plain and simple, we traded 5 war criminals for one deserter. This pig won't take lipstick!

The Pentagon never once called Bergdahl a deserter.

If Bergdahl had deserted to join up with the enemy, the Army would not have sent out people to rescue him.

They would have made it very plain that he was a deserter. They would have had no reason at all to conceal that.

Too soon to draw conclusions, but the whole chain of events will be examined.

It is never too soon for the credulous to draw conclusions.

Back in March, Ret. Col. David Hunt wrote the article below. Col. Hunt, whom was instrumental in creating Delta Force, said he was a deserter. If that label is good enough for Hunt, then it's good enough for me!

know what you are talking about before you speak.

Only the military justice system can declare a soldier a deserter AFTER a court martial and the findings stated.

He was AWOL.

Because he was AWOL and all evidence showed he was not taken from his assigned post...he was ALSO not declared a prisoner of war.

He was an American Soldier who vacated his post without permission from his superiors and was subsequently captured....making him a hostage.

Know your shit before you spew it.

I think we're missing the bigger picture here.

Yes, I'm glad we've got Bergdahl back. Whether it's to shoot him or to free him, whether he's a coward or a hero, he's still OUR coward.

The bigger is --

Why did the Liar in Chief decide to trade five of the highest of the highest ranking Taliban War Criminals for a run-of-the-mill Private (he was promoted in captivity)?

Why couldn't we have traded some low-level Taliban types that we have on ice in Kabul?

Why did the Liar in Chief decide to trade the highest of high ranking War Criminals for this guy?

Answer is simple. the Liar in Chief couldn't care less about Bergdahl.

What he cares about is getting a dialogue started with the Taliban. The Taliban demanded these five men SPECIFICALLY before any talks began and -- the Liar in Chief gave them what they wanted.

We don't need to asking if Bergdahl was worth it.

We need to be asking if getting talks started was worth it

I want to know why the administration referred to a man who left his post without permission as a man that served with honor and distinction.

He was given the same respect by this administration that we would give those that risked their lives looking for him.

Did Hunt see the note? Or is he just stating his personal opinion?

HUGE FUCKING DIFFERENCE!
