All I've done is drive 60 in 70 zones and 55 in 60 zones. That has increased my fuel efficiency by 2.5 mpg at the moment. When I was a kid in the 70's, my grandad always switched his car engine off on every downhill. I leave my engine switched on, but I stay in neutral gear so instead of doing 2,000 rpm, I'm doing 800 rpm. And many a time, I still have to brake because I'm picking up speed.
