Authoritarianism Again Arises

No. He replied to it. Your claim is that anti-abortion laws are “authoritarian” efforts to dictate what women can do and can’t do when they are carrying a child inside them. The counter argument is that your claim was false. It isn’t designed to control women but is instead designed to protect human life.
But, you can't deny that it is STILL forced gestation. It is. Any way you look at it.

A beautiful thing.

Surrendering to the State the power to kill its citizens in cold blood, or politicians and bureaucrats seizing control of wombs, may be the most egregious examples of rabid, creeping statism, but those who are hellbent upon ceding our freedoms to Big Mother are intent upon pervasive State control.

Currently, a large majority of countries have either abolished or discontinued the primitive practice of capital punishment, but pariah nations - China, Iran, North Korea, Yemen and United States - persist in snuffing out the lives of the poor who are convicted of capital offenses. The State - whose power over life and death is absolute - is infallible!

States goose-stepping toward totalitarianism dictate to local communities in public health matters, suppress the free speech of free market entities and educators, ban books, and strive to give absolute authority over personal, private matters such as reproduction to impersonal, faceless state lackeys.

Typically, democratic elections are not respected, and even trashed, by autocratic despots, of course.

The autocratic metastasis spreads, but is encountering resistance, both patriotic and practical:

FASCISM: a form of far-right, authoritarian ultranationalism characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition, and strong regimentation of society and the economy, typically facilitated by a cult of personality.
Fascism, Communism and American Liberalism and all synonymous

You mean like how nancy pelousi's stormtroopers murdered Ashli Babbitt?

The growing affinity for authoritarianism in the GOP was evident in the Party's affection for Putin.

Kinzinger Slams Pro-Putin Republicans, 'Affection for Authoritarianism'

February 13, 2022
The U.S. and its Western European allies have increasingly raised alarms that Russia appears to be on the cusp of invading Ukraine—although Moscow has repeatedly downplayed or rejected these concerns.
Kinzinger was asked... about Republicans voicing such views, which many see as playing into Putin's hand.
... "I don't think it's a huge portion, but it's way too big and it's growing and it's a huge concern... Now there's a significant number of folks doing it with Tucker Carlson talking about, you know, how great Vladimir Putin is and how Ukraine is really actually part of Russia," the GOP lawmaker said.
Kinzinger said he thinks "it's an affection for authoritarianism. And I think Vladimir Putin has done a decent job of engaging in culture battles and culture war, and he is seen as the person defending, in essence, the culture of the past."

Call it whatever you want, that sounds pretty damn good to me. I’d rather base it on an ideology of Traditional Morality and Values, but that’s a minor disagreement.
