That’s right just days after the opening of the newly painted reflecting pool officials have maintenance crews vacuuming the growing algae off the top of the pool. Turns out that the darker paint creates an even better environment for algae.

Congrats we have a $13 million algae resort

We're all fµcked as long as Trump is at the helm OP.

The quicker he's gone, the better off we'll be.

Algae doesn't form that fast, idiot. The darker paint is just probably showing the surface scum up quicker and better, but thanks for reminding us that the water is not only fresh, but is actively being maintained by a crew as your picture shows. Meanwhile, they apparently haven't even gotten around to chlorinating it yet, but you just couldn't wait your hot little ass to run down the first, best Trump-bashing article you could find, even if it is only about pond-water.

If I had to guess, some limpdick like you probably put the algae there in the first place just to take those pictures--- Man, having Trump as your president again sure just eats you up inside.

Maybe you should sue Trump over this. 🙄

They just filled it up with water this past weekend.

i lived in DC during the 2nd Clinton administration. The pool was FULL OF WEEDS AND ALGAE.

They made it to bring in water from the tidal basin.

If it was constructed like a large swimming pool with drains and skimmers and pumps and the water was treated, it would be fine.

A GIANT POOL OF SITTING WATER IS GOING TO GROW WEEDS AND ALGAE.

My pool has no algae in it and it doesn’t cost $13M to make worse. Only a doofus would do that.

Da Algae! Da Algae!

What is the point of this? Can you not finding something of more substance to gripe about?

They just filled it up with water this past weekend.

It probably has some sort of filtration system and the OP's brother in law or somebody stole the plug that turns it on now. Wasn't this the same place that they tried to sabotage just last week by dumping 30 gallons of gas or something into the cistern that feeds it?

I guess Trump is going to have to put security out there and when they have this big shindig at the WH in June and July, Trump will have to check every weld in the place to look for acid marks, torch cuts, saw marks, and missing bolts. I already heard that while dignitaries from every state are invited, SIX of those states have REFUSED TO EVEN ATTEND.

How dare we celebrate America's 250th Annv.! With masculine pugilism of all things! Why!... Why! That is so... N O R M A L.

At least now we know which states to keep on our sedition and insurrection checklist.
