The Trump administration asked the Supreme Court late Thursday to overturn the Affordable Care Act — a move that, if successful, would bring a permanent end to the health insurance program popularly known as Obamacare and wipe out coverage for as many as 23 million Americans.

I agree that overturning obamacare is yesterdays news

trump should be focusing all his attention to the revolution in the streets of deep blue democrat cities across America

Declare martial law and call out the National Guard immediately

That isnt what sleepy creepy Joe Biden Said...120,000,000 have died from the Kung Flu virus. Yet you want this dumbass octogenarian to run this country...No thank you..

Yep, I remember all the lying it took to get that illegal train wreck obamacare bill passed, and then the demtrash stood there and chanted.... "yes we can, yes we can, yes we can"... like a bunch of unruly little misbehaving grade schoolers.

Without the illegal mandate forcing people to buy it, it's a toothless, worthless democrat fuck up anyway. Might as well get rid of it.

Trump is trying to boost his approval and other poll numbers. Kicking 23 million folks off health insurance should work just fine.

Liberals/Progs may have gotten older but they still play by the liberal playbook.

The ACA- aka Obama-Biden Care is a complete failure. Not everyone was able to keep their plan, not everyone was able to keep their doctor, even if they liked them.

The problem with O'care was the fact that it imposed draconian style regulations on people who had ZERO problem with healthcare.

We can expect to see many comments and memes in this thread from uneducated and ignorant posters who believe if folks are kicked off health care insurance they and the rest of society will not have to pay medical expenses for people without insurance. The facts are, hospitals will be struck with unpaid bills and increase charges and fees for covering their losses, insurance companies will increase premiums on everyone for covering increased hospital costs, preventive health care will vanish for millions and further increase costs for everyone, general health care quality will decrease and in the long run, everyone will suffer the consequences of our moron President's childish temper and ego.

Trump might win re-election if he pushed for Medicare For All, and watch the Ds run from it.

Alas, he’s just not smart enough.

As millions are out of work, losing access to employer healthcare and the Pandemic worsens, Trump Justice Department goes to Supreme Court to get them to invalidate Obamacare.

In the midst of a global pandemic with the presidential election just months away, the Justice Department asked the Supreme Court on Thursday to invalidate the Affordable Care Act, the landmark health care law that enabled millions of Americans to get insurance coverage and that remains in effect despite the pending legal challenge.
In a late-night filing, Solicitor General Noel Francisco said that once the law's individual coverage mandate and two key provisions are invalidated, "the remainder of the ACA should not be allowed to remain in effect."

/——/ Obozocare forced everyone to buy insurance or pay a fine. Nothing affordable about it. So what’s stopping people from buying insurance right now?

Obamacare was and remains unconstitutional, despite CJRoberts' ignoble attempts to patch it up with fantastical interpretations of clear words. Therefore, it is appropriate for the Executive Branch to get the USSC to do the Right Thing.

I BELIEVE the Administration wants this in order to force Congress to devise a constitutional program that maintains the magical aspects (protect people with dreaded pre-existing conditions, and scrap lifetime limits), while keeping the states and private sector in primary control (as they should be).

Where are the stories about people dying from Covid-19 because they don't have health insurance? Maybe they don't exist.

Yep. He may as well double down on stupid at this point. Because nothing else is working for him. Time to throw some more red meat to his base and also see if he can get any independents over like he did in 2016. Newsflash for El Prez. Nobody's buying this time. The ACA was a good start. It wasn't perfect but it was a beginning point. All Republicans had to do was offer a better solution for the country to debate..or even offer ANY solution at all.....and they couldn't even do that. Just meaningless repeal votes that they knew they would not be held accountable for.

..so trying to get rid of a DUMBASS, tax $$$ wasting bill is WRONG????!!!!!!

Trumps timing is impeccable

Dropping in the polls as reports of COVID on the rise in key states Florida, Arizona and California and Trump decides this is a good time to cancel people’s health insurance
