Are there any just wars?

Israel and the US have been continuously attacked by proxies of Iran since the Iranian revolution.

In fact, on 10/7 some of the people murdered and killed and taken prisoner by Hamas were American citizens.
Those are backwards looking rationalizations for the US joining Israel in its war on Iran, not valid reasons. If Bone Spurs had gone to Congress for authorization to go to war based on Iran having been a bad actor in the region for decades would we be at war today?

U.S. Bishops’ Chairman on Doctrine Issues Clarification on Just War Theory

WASHINGTON – In light of recent public comments regarding the Catholic Church’s teaching on war and peace, Bishop James Massa, chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Doctrine, issued the following statement:

“For over a thousand years, the Catholic Church has taught just war theory and it is that long tradition the Holy Father carefully references in his comments on war. A constant tenet of that thousand-year tradition is a nation can only legitimately take up the sword ‘in self-defense, once all peace efforts have failed’ (Catechism of the Catholic Church, no. 2308). That is, to be a just war it must be a defense against another who actively wages war, which is what the Holy Father actually said: ‘He does not listen to the prayers of those who wage war.’

“When Pope Leo XIV speaks as supreme pastor of the universal Church, he is not merely offering opinions on theology, he is preaching the Gospel and exercising his ministry as the Vicar of Christ. The consistent teaching of the Church is insistent that all people of good will must pray and work toward lasting peace while avoiding the evils and injustices that accompany all wars.”

Is the US war against Iran "just" based on the Church's teachings? No.

It was hilarious to hear JD advise the Pope yesterday to be careful when he speaks on theological matters. Does anyone in the regime possess self awareness?

It does get a little weird when Trump tells us he "totally obliterated" Iran's nuclear capability, and then tells us a few weeks later that Iran is about to nuke us.

He can always get away with insulting the flock's intelligence, such as it is, but it really doesn't work on the rest of the world.

Like with all things political today how much one supports going to war or taking military action depends greatly on how much you support the President ordering it there are some exceptions to this, but they are not the norm.

The efficacy of being a scatter brained nitwit having given 4 or 5 false rationales for war is getting to pick one that fits the moment. The current choice always being subject to change.

President Trump is trying to cast his Iran war as all but over, a done-and-dusted success.

But after years of trying to impose his own reality on the world, he has now run into a crisis that is not bending to his narrative.

“It’s a new regime,” Mr. Trump said in a Fox Business interview that aired on Wednesday, referring to Iran’s new leaders. “We find them pretty reasonable to be honest with you, by comparison pretty reasonable.”

He wants to use regime change as a justification for the war but there's no evidence this regime is actually "more reasonable" than the last. But he has every reason to believe The Following will accept it. Cuz.........Dear Leader.

Ever hear of Ghandi?

He said Kamala would start a war
And of course, she would have. She is just as much owned by Israel as dumb Don.

I’ve told you for many years, there is little difference between the two gangs. After all the similarities exposed, you still cling the belief they’re different.

Recently, Donald Trump and Pope Leo got into a love spat over Trump saying that the strike on Iran was a "just war".

Are there any just wars?

What say you?

I know that there are those within the Catholic realm that even disagree with going to war with Nazi Germany, for example. In fact, I often wonder how Pope Leo feels about the US going to war with them back in the day. Would God have heard the prayers of those trying to take down Nazi Germany and their death camps?
There was no imminent threat.

No, Kamala would not have started a war with Iran

Neither would any other Republican

There are no just wars because most, if not all wars are manipulated by the elites to create a specific outcome. Most justifications for wars are just BS to manipulate the unintelligent into believing that the wars are for (insert reason) when in reality all it does is to serve the whims of the elite.
