Zone1 Another question to ponder.

I do understand agnosticism. You aren’t agnostic. You are a militant atheist. You condemn respect for people of faith especially Christians.
You think I condemn Christianity because I tell what I believe in a discussion about religion? Because I point out what was actually said, rather than accept the old memorized cliches that often have very little to do with what was actually written? I have, and still do admire and respect much of what is in the bible. I am just no longer overwhelmed by the Kabuki theater that religion has become.

Yes, but things can change. Suspend judgement until things change and it is knowable
The fact that you habitually argue against the existence of God shows your true beliefs. Apparently you believe you do know God does not exist.

You are not being honest.

Am I? Maybe I am a cluster of Neurons which get split up in a multitude of worms when i die?
You are certainly that too. But the interesting thing about that response is that it’s arguing the atheist position, not the agnostic position.

Lean into your atheism. Don’t shy away from it.

I think it’s pretty obvious you condemn respect for Christians. You can’t blame your ridiculous interpretations of scripture on ignorance. I’ve corrected you enough times for you to know better. You do it intentionally. And when you lose control, you’ll reap the harvest you have sown.

Okey Dokey. Sounds like a plan

I argue against your alleged proof.

No. You argue against the existence of God. You are no agnostic. Maybe you need to be more sly in your hunting. I can see it coming from a mile away.

Calm down and try to have at least a few minutes of a happy Christmas, you old blowhard. Try to smile. It won't hurt as bad as you think.

All of them. Calling them Militant for example.
Militant atheists - sly hunting ones or otherwise - are just that. If I were sly hunting atheists on an atheist website, you might have a point.

That one.
A "militant atheist" is an atheist who is openly and aggressively critical of religion, viewing it as harmful and actively working to diminish its influence, often contrasting with quieter atheists; the term implies hostility and a desire to challenge religious authority, though many argue it's unfairly applied to non-believers who simply refuse to be silent or respectfully defer to religious viewpoints. The term can also refer to actual oppressive state atheism, like in the Soviet Union, which used force to suppress religion.

Common Connotations & Usage
    • Vocal Opposition:
Anyone who speaks out against religion or questions religious authority in a culture where it's expected to be challenged.
    • Anti-Theism:
Believing religion is dangerous and actively fighting against it, rather than just lacking belief.

Distinctions
    • Not all atheists:
Most atheists are not "militant"; they simply lack belief or don't believe there's enough evidence for God.
    • Not necessarily violent:
While the term suggests violence, it's often used for non-violent speech, unlike historical examples of state-sponsored militant atheism.
Examples (Historical/Contextual)
    • Political Regimes: Leaders in the Soviet Union who used force to eliminate religion.
    • New Atheists: Figures from the "New Atheist" movement who actively argue against religion's societal role.

A militant theist doe the same to those who disbelieve.
