Americans spend more on their healthcare compared to any other country in the world. But we are not anywhere near having the best healthcare system.

We the American taxpayers have spent trillions of dollars of our money invading Iraq in 2003. We spent hundreds of billions of dollars of our hard earned money, giving it away to Israel and Ukraine for their wars which have zero effect on America. This is unbelievable. A better route would be to allow individual Americans to send money to Ukraine or Israel if they want to. But not trillions of dollars of our hard earned tax money that’s not right my friends.

The American people spend more on our healthcare compared to any other country of the world. But we are something like 10th Place in the world when it comes to quality healthcare. That doesn’t make any sense. …why it happens is due to the greed of the health insurance industry, and the stupidity of the American politicians, along with greed and selfishness of the American politicians some of them make big money from the healthcare lobbies and big Pharma. There are those politicians who want change for the better, but their voices are not as strong as they should be.

All of that money trillions of dollars that was used in a way that did not benefit The American people should have been used to eradicate homelessness and have the greatest healthcare system in world history. We are the most powerful country in world history. America’s the greatest country in the world history. It’s time to live up to it. Free healthcare for all American citizens and the absolute best Nursing homes for American taxpayers when they get older, and perhaps have dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, or are unable to take care of themselves.

Unfortunately, Democrats today don’t talk about this issue. They brainwashed their supporters to support Ukraine and Israel, and to support the evil idea that America has a racist imperialist history.

It used to be the that the Democratic Party under John Kennedy , Andrew Jackson and FDR , and other great men of our history stood up for what was right. Working toward things like a better healthcare system.
Most Americans have excellent healthcare

But too many people expect it to be free

They want the best healthcare and they want someone else to pay for it

Democrats?

Dude, wake up and smell the reality. It's republicans that wanna keep the rip off insurance companies afloat.
Yeah, some Democrats do talk about the healthcare issue. But it is overshadowed by BLM race division. So that’s the problem.

We already pay for other peoples wars, and that money should be used toward American healthcare.

We have a top 10 healthcare quality in the world. But it should be number one.

OK, so "free" was not the word you were looking for? If it costs trillions of dollars, then it is not "free."

If there were a vote to stop spending trillions on foreign misadventures and spend it on U.S. medical care, I'd vote yes. But I'd rather vote yes on stop spending trillions on foreign misadventures and spend it on paying down the debt, or giving it back to the private sector which is were the medical innovation comes from.

Point is that pointing to one incredible example of wasteful government spending is a poor justification for proposing aother wasteful spending project.

For typical Americans, the U.S. health system is the best in the world. The health outcomes so often cited, such as infant mortality rate, are skewed by our large number of welfare recipients, essentially paid to have babies, and illegal immigrants, who are incentivized to cross the border while pregnant, even if already in labor, to be the parent of an American citizen.

Both the welfare lifestyle and the illegal immigrant lifestyle are incredibly destructive to health outcomes, and each of those is typically encouraged by the same people who advocate socialized medicine.

When I had cancer six years ago, my only complaint about the quality of care was that at times it seemed more than needed. The hospital was like a luxury hotel, complete with art and jewelry stores. The doctors did not work for the hospital, they leased space and paid fees to practice there, so each had an incentive to provide the best service possible. My insurance company footed the bills other than some co-pays nad deductibles.

I didn't have to even look at the bills while going through treatments. My wife looked at them and saw that they were paid already.

I'm not a rich executive with a Cadilac policy, I'm just a hard-wroking school teacher. I have a policy that costs a good amount, but came through when I needed it. It's an in-network policy, so I had the same organization taking care of me and keeping track of my records.

Yes, Health insurance could be improved. For one thing, stop requiring middle-aged people with no kids to pay for insurance that covers gender-affirming care. Offer the option to have catastrophic insurance only for things like cancer, and pay out of pocket for routine checkups and prescription refills.

You say you do not advocate socialized medicine. Fine. But when you say medical care should be free, I'm not sure what you have in mind.

Because if we do what I suggest, and stop having government subsidize insurance for everyone for everything, that tax money would be spent on better hospitals in low-income communities, which would bring down those horrible early death, infant mortality, and other stats. We could also spend those war-monger dollars on government medical schools with which to staff those hospitals. For every college graduate accepted at medical school, dozens who are very nearly as smart and capable are rejected, and end up in dental or veteranary school. Use those minds for people, not cats.

A lot of fair and informative points you bring up thank you.

Of course we the American people spend a ton of money on taxes every year. So it’s part of the budget and the only question is what will our money be used for. I believe that it is fair to say that some of that money should be used toward building, public parks, building up massive skyscrapers. We should have the tallest skyscrapers in the world that shouldn’t be the United Arab Emirates.

Huge numbers of funds in the past 30 years have been used on foreign adventures that really have no effect on America. Including the first gulf war, the second gulf war, I won’t say Afghanistan because I think the invasion of Afghanistan was justified. Not to mention those Bosnian wars our involvement in that in the 1990s. Who knows if that was necessary maybe not. Certainly I reckon the 2003 invasion of Iraq was not necessary and it cost trillions of dollars and thousands of American Lives , along with tons of thousands of Americans being brutally injured.

I don’t think its right to give hundreds of billions to Ukraine, Egypt and Israel over the years.

Now one thing that we can both address is obesity in America. That also affects our healthcare system. America is the most obese country in the world. Isn’t that weird? We have the wealthiest country, the most powerful military yet the most obese country in the world. There’s too many fast food restaurants in our country. Too many youngsters are eating high processed sugary foods. So that leads to health costs. It’s part of why we have a lower lifespan compared to other developed and even non-western countries of the world like Vietnam or other south east Asian countries where people live to 100 hundred years old and it’s not much of a surprise.

Now we all know that obesity is found in America in the inner cities and the suburbs. You see the wealthiest Americans are also in part very obese. And we also have a drug problem in this country 100,000 Americans dying each year from drugs, bought over the border. That’s a serious problem of course that contributes to our health costs. There are people who are poor and rich using hard-core drugs every day because they are depressed. Depression is an issue in America. That’s not so much an issue with other countries of the world even countries in poverty, they have a better family spirit than we do.many of these issues we face in America today it’s quite fair to say it did not exist in the 1950s when we had a better culture.

I’m not sure what the solution to the high cost of healthcare in America would be. But I know we have a problem. We should be a country where the life expectancy is the highest in the world. We should not have the highest obesity rate in the world. So we need to address these issues in some manner.

Trolling ^. You sound like a far left-wing BLM activist. The stats are shown to you and you make something up because you don’t like what you hear.

there are eight or nine other western European countries who have better healthcare quality compared to America. It’s a fact their lifespan is longer.

It’s probably because in some of those countries, the cost of education at the college level is considerably less than this racket we have in America. It’s a disgrace you know the tuition fees in the United States, were astronomically lower back in the day compared to the highway robbery it is today. Some schools that are not even Ivy League schools cost $100,000 a year to attend. What a joke it’s pathetic. It’s not something that the World War II generation fought for.

Stay off the kook sites.

America has conducted foreign policy since the founding

And we have supported foreign people who resist aggression since before WWII

If we want to expand free healthcare for everyone I agree that we should pay for it as we go

But weakening national security is not the answer

I agree

I supported bush at the time and I was wrong

But lets not overreact and err in the opposite direction instead
simple assassination of Saddam Hussein would have solved lots,
but not ALL, problems in Iraq. There were excellent reasons to
knock him off-----certainly by 1970

No. It happens because of the greed, selfishness and fear of the American voter.

They know what they're buying and they like it, society as a feeding frenzy is their idiology. They've been taught since childhood to fear anything that smacks of socialism, they've been taught they may lose something.

How many posts on this message bored do you see extolling the virtues of the US system and the failures of others? Any contrary data is dismissed as fake or not comparable to or not applicable to America's exceptionalism.

In short, we must have free healthcare for all Americans.
“Free” huh? We do offer free healthcare to Mexicos people…are you beggars bitching about that?
How are going to get doctors, nurses and staff to work for “free”…how will we get builders to build hospitals and clinics for free?
These other countries offering “free” healthcare…what is their tax rate? What are they paying for fuel? How many wetbacks are they fostering and begging to invade?

I have read/heard the comments of American immigrants to this country when they relate how a nurse they called for advice, for example, had to almost order them to call an ambulance for their child as the presumed cost made them very reluctant.

Then I read/hear their comments after their child received immediate and appropriate care at no point of contact cost to them.

It was easy to see where they thought the better health care was.

Move to Canada then. Wait 8 hours in an Emergency as a newborn (yes, this just happened) and/or have an MRI for a serious condition and have someone, somehow, "accidentally" sends your doctor the results for an MRI that wasn't yours.

That can happen in America, too. Maybe 20 years ago, that would have been different, but not now. Canadians can get treated for sickness and not have to worry about medical bankruptcy...unlike their neighbor to the south.

My grandmother lived in Canada for 40 years. The healthcare was spotty but it is here, too. Difference is she didn't pay much.

Lol. What do you think an ambulance costs in Atlanta?

I was in hospital for a week with an aortic aneurysm. My bill was over $150,000. They saved my life.

No idea, what does one cost?

There would be no bill here for that treatment, one's taxes will have paid for it. Perhaps a voluntary donation of $100 to the ambulance if you used one.

Insta-win.

There is no more obvious evidence that neither criminal party serves The People than the lack of adequate healthcare for all.
