KINDA nasty? That stuff was down right horrifying. My senior year of HS, my girlfriend's father had been a soldier in WWII, and was the 3rd American GI to walk through the gates of Dachau, I think.

He brought back a whole bunch of souveniers, everything from uniforms and weapons to some of the more gruesome things he found there.

One thing she showed me was a REALLY nice pair of bone handles for a gun. They were exquisitely carved and were absolutely gorgeous. She handed them to me, an asked what I thought. I told her how good they looked, and that the craftsmanship was excellent.

She then told me they had been carved out of human bone. I put them down rather quickly and didn't want to touch them again.
