Alec Baldwin is not going, and should not go, to prison. The props person is the only person responsible and that is how any jury will see it.

Alec might have been a producer in name only...but it's not really that relevant.

He followed the director's directives in believing that it was a "cold" weapon...which is the armorer's responsibility. (She is going to do time no matter what)

But the plinking by staff with "prop" guns with live ammunition is going to be the fact that gets Alec time. There shouldn't have been any live ammunition on the set....ever!

And even if Alec was producer in name only...he had a responsibility to stop that crap and didn't. And it cost someone their life. He is doubly responsible because as management he is supposed to ensure that the armorer could reasonably do her job.

To be clear, I dislike him. He’s an asshole.

And he is the one who fired that gun. I believe he was actually negligent since actors are taught not to point guns at people and they are taught to check their guns to make sure rhey aren’t loaded.

He failed to do so evidently. That’s negligence.
