It's a shame that an iconic figure like O.J. was such a violent troubled criminal. Before he killed Nicole he beat her in the face brutally and sent her to the ER. There was power, phone and dedicated data transmission lines every fifty feet or so on the sidewalks around the courthouse. It had nothing to do with getting a "favorable" jury pool. In fact, anyone who ever worked in or around the courthouse would know that the jury pool there was largely black with some Latinos and a very few poor whites. Latinos composed a large percentage of the local population, but were mostly illegals so they couldn't serve on juries or even be called, because they lacked driver's licenses or voter registrations which was where L.A. County drew its jury lists from.

Like O.J George Floyd was an excellent athlete and had a scholarship to go to college.
