My Dad was scheduled to go to Korea, but he got sick forget what he had but it prevented his deployment. He got out after 3 years bur rejoined the army in 66 and served a tour in Vietnam, His second tour he fell in a pit trap with his leg spent months in hospital in Japan they werent sure if he would live. Later in life after serving to retirement and after that he lost both legs because of it

Thank you for the history of your father. I was fortunate to have been released from the Army ahead of those black days in Vietnam. I had performed what the draft ordered me to do.
