While 1776 - 1809 was the greatest era in U.S. history, the greatest era in world history was the 1980's. The Iron Lady, Margaret Thatcher, was leading England. Conservative Brian Mulroney was leading Canada. Pope John Paul II was in charge of the Catholic Church. And of course, the great Ronald Reagan was President here in the United States.

We're seeing a global return to that era after left-wing socialism/communism destroyed the global economy, stripped the masses of liberty, and brought oppressive misery to the shores of almost every nation. First there was the stunning "Brexit" vote that restored sovereignty to England. Then there was the stunning landslide victory of Donald Trump over the establishment Hitlery Clinton. And now Marine Le Pen is on the verge of finishing the trifecta. It is an indictment on the failure of the left-wing ideology and a major rejection of it.

If Marine Le Pen is able to win in the hard core left-wing nation of France, we will likely see an era of prosperity that we have not seen since the 1980's. With real leaders with backbones like President Trump and Marine Le Pen sitting in office, nations will be exponentially more secure and terrorists will be on the run. Economies will be exponentially better off which will result in innovation, better products and services, etc. And most of all - liberty will be restored and expanded.

If I had to pick the greatest era in world history, I would say it was the Pax Romana during the years of Constantine The Great.

Christianity had just conquered The Roman Empire and catholic doctrines were being framed in council.

Everything that has happened since then was influenced by those times.

Constantine merged paganism with Christianity and called it Catholicism. The Reformation brought about by Martin Luther was the start of religious freedom.

Martin Luther was the first person to say "meh, Christianity is too hard. Let me invent my own feel-good version."

Le pen is losing right now.

That sounds like a communist speech. The kind USSR let loose until it died. But if you want to make a point, why not make it properly?

That sounds all very nice and almost as if you read a book of some sort some time in your life, but maybe you should've read two. How was that time great and how would your proposed new order not make us a third world war and nothing else?

No, catholicism is a cult...........

I doubt Le Pen will win. Both the Liberals and Republicans will unify to vote against her. Of course despite my vote for Trump I figured that Hillary would win. So I've been wrong before.

You say that like it's a good thing.
It was Christianity that conquered Europe and turned the bloodthirsty heathens there into peace loving human civilized peoples.

Unfortunately there was also within Christianity a legacy of reprisal against Jews who had originally paid off Roman emperors to persecute and murder Christians.

That debt was apparently not paid until after 1945.

In more practical terms the Catholic Church changed their dogma on Jews by and large.

Since you probably do not have crystal balls you probably don't really know.

We'll see.

Your revisionist view is classic Protestantism.

I know more than you.......I mean it's like infinitely more.....immeasurably...plug in any adjective that applies as it pertains to how much more I know than you. Use your imagination....(snicker)

LOL The religious wars in Europe matched in barbarism anything the previous pagan Celts had ever done. The Crusades were no better.

I would have to say right now is as great of a time as we have seen. Anyone with a computer that is hooked to the internet has access to all the knowledge in the world. The son of an illiterate goatherd can become a nuclear physicist if he has that access, the brains and will power. We live in a time when we have access to foods, fruits and vegetables from all over the world, at any time of the year. That is more than any king could get a mere 150 years ago. We have vaccines and cures for most of the ailments that used to shorten our lifespans. In about a hundred years the average lifespan has more than doubled.

As for your ideological bitches, just go to hell.

It was when unions were strong, families were strong and innovation and manufacturing were mostly done by America....

The 40's, 50's and 60's....Government invested greatly in infrastructure, science and education...Did a good job.

And the next decade will be even better.

Technology almost always moves us all forward.

While 1776 - 1809 was the greatest era in U.S. history,
Women and African Americans would vehemently disagree. Being owned as property skews the view I guess.
I'll grant you that. But for the rest of society, it was the greatest degree of liberty Americans ever knew. Sadly, people like you came around and ruined that out of greed and selfishness.
