Prosecution or persecution?

True. Trump supporters have cocooned themselves in a right wing narrative that is exceedingly difficult to penetrate with facts.
Trump supporters do not believe the liberal propaganda from the mainstream media for good reason.

Remember all the “bombshell” reports that happened almost daily on CNN and MSNBC. Every ”bombshell“ was supposed to be the end of Trump but all proved to be duds. Fox News largely discounted each and every one of those reports as did other conservative news outlets.

Consequently, Trump supporters pay little attention to liberal news outlets.

Not talking about mainstream media. I’m talking about facts presented at trial.

Trump supporters knowingly suck up the conservative propaganda from conservative mainstream media, which we know is false information from their very own internal communications presented in court.

The “good reason” is because they want to live in their alternate universe. The good reason has absolutely nothing to do with allegience to the truth.

Joe can’t be prosecuted while President but a precedent is being set for prosecution after he leaves office. Note how Trump is being treated.
I agree far too much deference has been given to him. He should be in a jail cell for contempt, the SC never should have taken up the baseless total immunity claim, and Aileen Cannon should have been removed in the docs case for repeatedly displaying both bias and incompetence.

So then explain why Trump is still around after all the bombshell reports that were susposed to ruin him. Plus he will likely be around after all these trials designed and timed to ruin his chances to win the nest election. He may even win the next Presidential election especially if the Democrats stick with Joe Biden.

Liberals have breathlessly followed the lies about Trump from the mainstream liberal media for years and still believe most of them.

One thing I have noticed about liberals is they often think they are smarter than conservatives. People who think they are smart are usually wrong. Of course a liberal would point out that more liberals have college educations than conservatives. Conservatives may point out that in recent years college educated people have been taught what to think rather than how to think.

For example in today’s news we often hear conservatives called Nazis but on college campuses we are seeing students supporting Hamas and their desire to eliminate Israel “from the river to the sea.“
Once again we have another case of liberal projection as they are far more like Nazis than conservatives.

In June 2021, the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism asked people in 46 countries how much they trust their nation’s media. The results were devastating for American journalism – the United States came in last place.

American media are the least trusted in the world. Only 29% of the American people trust the media, the survey found, the very bottom of the international barrel. (Finland is in first place, with 65% saying they trust their media. Canadian media, for comparison’s sake, enjoy a 45% level of trust.)

Remember when the press told you the Steele dossier might be true? Or that President Trump removed blue mail boxes from street corners so he could steal the 2020 election? Or that Russia paid bounties to kill U.S. troops in Afghanistan? Or that COVID could not possibly have originated in a Chinese lab? Or that Melania Trump turned the Rose Garden into a neofascist parade ground? Or that Nicholas Sandmann was a thug and Kyle Rittenhouse a White supremacist? Each of these is wrong. Each was reported by the mainstream media.

I try to call the balls and strikes as I see them. I supported President Trump on many if not most of his policies, while I objected to the way he sometimes behaved. But too many reporters decided their job was to undo the will of the people who elected Trump in 2016, and their reporting was brutally unfair and biased. These reporters thought they were saving the Republic. Instead, they sacrificed their credibility.

I don’t think the press is the enemy of the people, but I do think they are their own worst enemy.

And one can draw a straight line from the fawning Clinton coverage in the 1990s to the deeply suspicious manner with which George W. Bush and Dick Cheney were portrayed in the aughts to the media hyperventilation about Romney's “binders full of women” all the way to Trump’s post-fact world. Each and every instance where the media engages in bias helped to chip away at the trust they once held; all conservatives ever did was point out the truth. Now, we all have to live with the consequences to the bias the media rarely acknowledges, and the victim is the truth.

If you are saying Trump should be jailed for contempt keep in mind doing that will almost guarantee his re-election. I sometimes wonder if that is exactly what Trump is hoping the Judge does.
