After watching over the past half-century a disappointing parade of candidates running for U.S. President, I am finally hearing one not speaking the usual gobbledegook but actually making sense. And the usual embedded and implied lies are not there for this candidate. His past record as a public servant is there for all to see if they look, and this record is remarkable for its consistency.

Although he has been re-elected by his home state many times as an Independent candidate for both houses of Congress, Senator Bernie Sanders is currently running as a Democrat. That is pretty much what he had to do because of the way the so-called two party system is organized. An Independent or third party candidate has a much more difficult time getting on all the state ballots. Although they allowed him to run as a Democrat, it is apparent that their leadership is astonished and anxious by his success in the Democratic Primaries so far. They thought they had their anointed one already. And they are still trying to make it so.

Take away Secretary Clinton's super-delegates and we see there is not that much difference in the results so far. So for Democrats, here is an opportunity we have not seen for many decades to change the course of our government's policy to better meet the needs of average citizens while starting to ease off the concerns of the rich and powerful.

Fellow citizens, think hard and strong about how you will vote in the coming primaries. I have never witnessed this level of possibility for real change in my lifetime. Above all vote. And make your vote have real possibilities for the future and the success of our nation. This is not a sit by and watch election!

This primary season with its unusual excitement and high turnout highlights how absurd and inherently corrupt the process is. The primaries are the point of contact of our two-party system with the Constitution. The two parties are essentially private corporations which perform the vital constitutional functions of selecting candidates and running elections. Their power is enormous and completely outside of the Constitution. The average citizen has no influence, no control and no information. The parties are run by self-serving politicians -- a conflict of interest so obvious we no longer notice it. They are controlled by invisible millionaires. And for most of our recent history they have done a really lousy job.

Think about those super delegates. Who are they? Where does their power come from? Is this a democracy?

Sander is a pathetic old codger who is hamstrung by the disability of never actually having had a job. If HRC were not such a horrible candidate and human being, Bernie would be polling in the low single digits.

His constituency is almost exclusively made up of people who have never worked to support themselves, and those who hope never to have to.

"Free" college tuition. I wave my private parts at you.

Trump is the rich and powerful, you silly. He does not care about our country or you or me.

I disagree Jake. He cares more about our country than any of the other career politicians. He cares about the influx of illegal immigrants into our society, the status of our military and veterans, the imbalance of our trade deficits with other countries, etc. His business interests are pretty much in the casino and tourism industries and it would be hard pressed to find an area where he will make a ton of money off any trade deals with other countries or off any Bill that he might influence into getting through Congress that would help his particular business interests. Your other politicians however, are well within the deep pockets of Wall Street and other special interest groups. They are owned, Trump is not. You will have to show me exactly where and by whom Donald Trump is obligated to.

I don't have to show you anything at this point. It is your affirmation.

You are supporting him. Why? Be specific.

It would be eventually interesting to the proposed success of our nation if you could open the topic of the thread for discussion.

This part of the forum is the Clean Debate Zone and you have provided no entry way to make possible an even further improvement of matters. Your opinion is indeed of great informative value, as I am able to make it conceptually consistent through the firm presented rhetoric, even as you can see that it is not everyone in the thread capable of delivering an equivalent well structured group of paragraphs.

You have also told me more than just your opinion, but also your personal history in the very beginning of your thread introduction. Having that noticed, I find it not a problem. I do have a problem, however, in how you have not used the proper acronym to make your political statements. There is really no such thing as the U.S. as far as governmental elections are concerned, which explains your severe disappointment. What really is pertinent to governmental efficiency and organization for the aggregation of our joined conducts towards national success (or greater national success as the republicans have been putting so excitedly but so naively) is the correct application of the titles given with the constitution itself.

There is no U.S., only the U.S.A.

As you have neglected the totality of America in your eagerness, the past elections could in fact not have delivered the already carefully prepared and set political project that continues to be the U.S.A.

The compact access to the research needed to understand and truly cooperate with the political project is free, either at a public library or on the internet.

Read the Declaration of Independence, written before the Constitution has actually been put as the national form of government and George Washington elected as the first President.

Read a Chronology of the History of the Constitution.

Read the History of the Constitution.

Read the Annals of Congress Debates and Proceedings of 1789 to 1829.

Read the Constitution itself!

I'd like to have an actual proper discussion about these documents and events if I am to voice my opinion too and actually get to have my vote not be disappointing to anyone to whom it may concern.

Of course not because changes to none of these laws could possibly be beneficial to him, not even at the very least that he knows of the changes before his competitors in those industries or in other countries....
And, of course, there's nothing having do with real estate and real estate investing that being the U.S. President might be advantageous for if one's billion dollar company is 100% privately owned by oneself and one's immediate family members.

Naw, there'd just be nothing having to do with federal policy, regulation, or enforcement that could possibly give Trump a "leg up" on his competition. Nothing contained the President's Daily Brief that cannot and would not be known to one's competitors or other equally well off billionaires that would be personally and financially beneficial for Trump to know, and not disclose directly, but over dinner with his wife or kids simply mention, "Oh, have you looked into buying/selling 'such and such'?"

For example, there's no way Trump would, as President have any advanced awareness of where might be the best place to build a hotel or golf course in Cuba. There's no way his wealth, all of which is held by him personally or by his company, one fully privately owned by him and his immediate family, could be used to give him an edge were he to know in advance of others the details of any number of negotiations going on between the Department of Commerce and any number of organizations or states (foreign or domestic).

Nope, Trump would never use any information of that sort for his own advantage because he's been so consistently beyond reproach. He's never said one thing and later said/done something completely contrary to his earlier stance. He's never done anything that could be called remotely questionable from an ethical or legal standpoint. In fact, he's ensured that everyone who supports his Presidential bid, especially those who attend his rallies, gets their own personal pair of rose colored glasses and Trump "Kool-Aid." Indeed, his rally attendees must sign the "I support Trump" pledge because, of course, nobody who's undecided but interested in seeing him firsthand should be admitted.

P.S.
Please don't reply with some remark about what every other President has done. What they have or have not done doesn't matter anymore because they've entered and left the job of President. What matters is what Trump would or would not do. And the only thing we have right now on which to base our speculations in that regard is his track record of lies and unethical behavior.

Trump incites people to riot. That is not Presidential. Frankly, I have not heard him say anything that is. No, heil Trump from me.

Obama has said racist things too but you give him a pass. Sanders and Clinton have said racist things as well. Trump just draws larger crowds. It is most often Sanders supporters who are the most violent protesters showing up and showing their collective asses at Trump rallies. Try a little honesty once in a while. I guarantee you that it won't hurt you.

And Hillary Clinton who had people killed under her watch is acceptable to you? Hillary wants to raise taxes on the same people yet again who are already paying the brunt of the taxes. She wants the same people who are paying for your insurance subsidies to now have to pay for the insurance subsidies of illegal aliens. She wants to raise the taxes on corporations and force more of them to leave our shores. She wants to allow her Planned Parenthood donor to perform late term abortions as payback for the $20 Million they donated of our tax money toward her campaign. She is the one instrumental in causing Libya to become an ISIS state. Get the log out of your eye. Trump has done nothing to hurt our country.

Yes, I saw his supporters carrying his signs when they crashed Trump's rallies.

Bold black:
She hasn't been President; she's had no "watch."

Red:
I'm one of those people whose taxes will be increased if she does. I can live just fine with any increase of the size she's proposed for folks in my income bracket.

Blue:
My insurance isn't subsidized. I'm among the subsidizers. I'm male; I'm healthy and have always been save for colds and headaches and gallstones.

Green:
And my firm is one for which that could materialize and even if it does, there's no way we're going to stop doing business in the U.S. The same is so for every other firm for which the bulk of its revenue comes from U.S. sources.

Orange:
I don't care.

Pink:
You'll need to prove that to be so. Where's your unequivocal evidence to that effect? What is your cogent and well founded inductive argument indicating that is more plausibly and probably true than that it is not?

Purple:
Nothing except run for President. My kids haven't done anything harmful to our country either, but like Trump, they've also not yet been in a position to do any harm.

Sounds like a bunch of Liberal speak to me. Yes, she had a watch. She was Secretary of State. She was the head of a governmental agency. She was in command of that agency., No doubt, you have never been in charge of anything at all. As far as your insurance and wellness, we only have your word for that and the same goes for your subsidies as well. AQs far as your claims that Trump will fail, that is only your opinion and is not based upon any facts at all. I have evidence of Hillary's incompetence as Secretary of State.

No, paid political operatives are being "incited" to riot. Trump is simply being Trump. Love him or hate him the one thing you can not blame on him is the rioting. That is Moveon.org and all of their various minions attempting to disrupt the American political process by bringing back the tactics of the Nazi Brownshirts.

Indeed. What's not to like? This candidate speaks for the good of our nation and is not in the pockets of the rich and powerful.

Have you seen Bernie's crowds? And Bernie does not incite to riot, or to any violence.

Well- first of all you would need to have activists on the right going to his rallies, shouting at him so he could not speak, but that has not happened.
Seems political activists on the right believe in Sanders right to speak and promote more Socialism, even though they absolutely loath it.
