Then why do they all promise to fight the left, reign in spending and all those other actual conservative things? Because they're a bunch of left leaning republicans.

It's very possible that this is the coup da tat that the democrats have committed. Starting with Reagan. A life long democrat, taking one for the team by pretending to be a republican. Who better to get this started than by using an actor.
And we've had people like Mitt Romney get the nomination. And now we have another life long democrat who's going to be the RNC's nominee for the 3rd time in a row.

The borders were never actually secure. An embellishment
Inflation was low because of us, the consumers, fixing what Obama and the congress messed up by the $8 trillion he spent in 8 years. "We did that." Plus the economy was in a recovery stage when Trump took office.
There was no world peace. Trump dropped as many bombs and drones as Obama did.
The China trade deficit never balanced. It only dropped because of covid.
Oil prices were low because Russia and Saudi were in an oil price war.

I honestly can't take you seriously when you suggest DeSantis, who was fully supported by the rino wing of the party, was a better candidate than TRUMP.
