This is true & Seattle is more expensive to live.....but very few actually do. Most live outside Seattle because of costs, where it's somewhat cheaper. But still the cost of living here from Olympia in the South Sound to Everett in the north, and all in between including Tacoma.....is higher than elsewhere in the state.

Tacoma is second to Seattle in both size & costs in the Puget Sound area......so the difference isn't all that much.
