63% of Americans support the Save Act

To make matters worse, Democrats only seem to care about this perceived lack of State Issued ID’s if it is in regards to Elections. Think about RealID and the significance of IDs in our everyday lives.

Where is the care and concern from the Democrats on that front?
See post #20.

There is tremendous support for photo ID requirements like a drivers license, on the surface. Until they realize that 45 states do not have the requirements that the Steal this Election Act calls for on their drivers license, and any time they updates their registration, including after moving, changing their name, or switching political parties, they will have to re-register and prove their citizenship with something other than the most common Photo ID in the country. Even if they've been an active, registered voter for multiple decades. Then that support dwindles.
That documentation would require a valid Passport or Birth certificate in the same name as the party (women take note). While this is not a major issue if sufficient time is available, its an issue just a few months before an election. They could modify the legislation to start three years after signing, but they won't.

The only way it will pass is if the Senate breaks the 60 vote Cloture Rule. But I think the Neo-GOP knows that the Steal this Election Act may very well hurt their voters too, and they don't want what the Democrats might do with 50%+1 power over the minority party.

I think the Feds would need to prove that non citizens voting is an actual thing in a particular district before forcing a remedy on that district.
The other issue, and the BIG ISSUE is that the Federal government gets all the voter rolls, every month or so they can cull out people they demand not voters. Those voters will then have to prove their bona fides. They could do this right before the election to any person or group they want, AND THATS THE WHOLE POINT OF WHAT THEY ARE DOING.
Again, this could be corrected to limit the ability to review or institute a timeline of review only at time of registry plus X days, but they won't BECAUSE THATS THE POINT.

Exactly. They don't want people to know what's in the bill. They are banking on people thinking it's just a Voter ID requirement bill and not a vote supression bill.

MAGA, GOP are spouting nonsense, devolving into conspiracy and chaos over SAVE America Act

The SAVE America Act is still under debate in the U.S. Senate, where it faces long odds of overcoming a Democratic filibuster. But MAGA, anti-voting activists, and the GOP are nonetheless doing everything they can to muster more support — including spouting nonsense, stirring conspiracies, and scheming to pressure Democratic senators into flipping their vote.
  • On social media, far-right figures like anti-voting lawyer Cleta Mitchell and Tea Party Patriots (TPP) co-founder Jenny Beth Martin are pushing misleading claims and obfuscating facts about the measure, in a desperate attempt to move the needle on the doomed bill.

  • But a video from last year shows the bill’s lead House champion, Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas), admitting that his married aide “had to jump through a bunch of hoops” to vote in Virginia because she changed her name. Publicly, of course, Roy has called claims that married women could face hurdles “an absurd narrative peddled by the left.”

  • As debate raged on, Democracy Docket obtained details from a recent TPP members’ call that outlined the group’s latest strategy to pressure senators to pass the SAVE America Act. The plan? Flooding senators’ offices with calls and emails urging them to vote for the sweeping voter suppression bill.

  • “The simplest thing that you can do… is making phone calls to your United States Senator, and urging everyone you know to make phone calls in support of the SAVE America Act,” Martin told TPP supporters. “If you are talking to Democratic senators’ offices, and you've got a relationship with the staffers — or at least can have a well-informed conversation with them — ask them, ‘What would it take to get the senator to vote for this?’ What is the true objection, and how can we get them to vote for it?

MAGA is spouting nonsense on the SAVE America Act. Here’s the truth

As lawmakers duke it out on the Senate floor over the SAVE America Act, MAGA Republicans and anti-voting activists are working overtime on social media to garner more support for the voter suppression measure.

Should the bill clear the U.S. Senate — which isn’t looking likely, given that it doesn’t have the 60 votes needed to clear a Democratic filibuster — it would require people to provide proof of citizenship, like a passport or birth certificate, to register to vote. People would also need to show a government-issued photo ID at the poll to cast a ballot. And there’s an amendment that places restrictions on mail voting — including barring universal mail-in voting.

But you wouldn’t know these things if you were only following coverage from the SAVE America Act’s loudest cheerleaders. Instead, influential right-wing figures and GOP lawmakers are pushing misleading claims and obfuscating facts about the measure.

WARNING............you may find these facts to be disturbing since they clash with the bullshit in your head.

The election is 7 months from now.

Since there is virtually zero voter fraud in the US what problem does the SAVE Act solve?
Is there zero vulnerability for voter fraud? By SAVE Opponents’ own words, non citizens cannot vote in Federal Elections. So, what’s the verification process to insure the people voting are eligible and how secure is that process?

Detection and vulnerability are related but they are not the same. In risk management, the detection frequency might be negligible or minimal but the level of vulnerability may be significant.

I don't understand your argument. Do want people Not eligible to vote .. to vote?? 17 year olds? Non citizens? People voting for a candidate in a city/county/district/state where they do not reside? People voting more than once in the same election for the same candidate? Do you want attempts to do this prevented? What do you want done to ensure a fair and correct election? Or don't you care? You seem to care a great deal when you think a foreign power is rigging the election (see 2016, Russia Russia Russia!)
It's fair when democrats win, not fair if Republicans win.

I support guaranteeing an American's access to voting, and oppose erecting bureaucratic barriers to impede it.

That includes wealthy, white felons voting by mail with the taxpayer covering the postage.
No barriers have been, nor will they be, enacted by the passage of the SAVE Act.

I support guaranteeing that the ONLY votes cast are by American CITIZENS, and an overwhelming majority of Americans agree with me.

Please document your belief that non-American citizens are voting and perverting the result of elections. Where and when has that been attempted?

Again, it is American citizens who will be disenfranchised by erecting bureaucratic barriers.

The act has been criticized for potentially disenfranchising many Alaskans, especially those without readily available identification, and could affect the accessibility of voter registration.

My hope is that Americans threatened with being disenfranchised be protected by a voter outreach initiative to assist them and safeguard their rights.

That's right, a whopping 63% of Americans favor the Save Act, which is probably about the percentage of the population that does not want to destroy the Republic.

The very fact that, that the GOP created this bill but cannot seem to pass it even though they have a majority in both houses with the President ready to sign it, explains just how far gone the country is in regard to control by Marxists who could care less about what the majority of Americans want, because it is just common sense.

RIP US of A!!!!

You had a good run, but it is just about over.
But I thought polls were fake news.
