Members of todays republican party spin a disingenuous tale about republican support for the Civil Rights and voting rights act. They tell about a democratic filibuster and will tell us that more democrats opposed these bills than republicans. These things are true. But they only tell part of the story. According to Merriam-Webster the definition of disingenuous is, “lacking in candor: giving a false appearance of simple frankness.” As it pertains to the Civil Rights Act, 153 democrats and 139 republicans voted in favor of the legislation in the house . In the senate, 46 democrats and 27 republicans voted for the Civil Rights Act. In the house, 221 democrats voted for the Voting Rights Act, 112 republicans did. In the senate, 47 democrats voted for the Voting Rights Act, 30 republicans did.

By 1964 there were blacks whose families had been republicans for almost 100 years. Despite loyal black support, Republicans nominated Barry Goldwater for president. Goldwater voted against the 1964 Civil Rights Act. His nomination was a slap in the face of black people. When we got civil rights, republicans decided that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice, turned their backs on us and began letting southern white racists become part of the party. The history of the republican party is one of broken promises to black people.

All today’s republican establishment does for blacks is throw out Uncle Toms or Aunties and tell us they are the ones we should listen to. Black republicans that do not deny that racism exists are part of the party, but you will not see them on Fox News. We are not republicans because republicans took a knee on us. Now they want us to come back so they can implement policies that will put a chokehold on us. The republican party is anti-affirmative action, anti-civil rights, anti-voting rights, pro maintenance of the memory of the confederacy but we are supposed to run to the republican party because Abraham Lincoln freed slaves from the same confederacy republicans defend today.

On December 6, 2019 The House of Representatives passed H.R. 4, the Voting Rights Advancement Act of 2019, by a vote of 228-186. This bill was crafted to undue the damage caused by Chief Just Roberts who decided racism had ended with the decision in Shelby County v. Holder. There were 187 Republicans in the House of Representatives in 2019. 1 Republican voted for this bill, Brian Fitzpatrick from Pennsylvania.

So let’s review.

1. The republican party is the party of the Corwin Amendment that would have made slavery constitutional.
2. The republican party is the party of the 1876 Compromise that ended reconstruction and paved the way for Jim Crow.
3. 4 out of the 7 votes in for separate but equal in Plessy v. Ferguson were republican and that decision made Jim Crow national law.
4. In 1964 the Republican party turned it’s back on blacks after nearly 100 years of black support.
5. Today’s Republican Party is controlled by an Anti-Black base.

So:

155 years since Republicans freed the slaves.

Well that is a given. it is 57 years since republicans put an end to Jim Crow or at least started the process.

And roughly 6 months now that you've tried to reinstate it.

LOL Lying shit for brains, how exactly have I tried to reinstate it? and if you mean voting laws I suggest you pull your head out of your anal orifice and ACTUALLY read the laws then explain how they are Jim Crow but Maryland and New York's laws are not.

Do you deny that the goal is to make it harder to vote? Of course you do? Why? Because you want to make it harder to vote without the taint of being branded a proponent of Jim Crow laws as they applied voting.

If the law makes it harder to vote then how come you never complain about Maryland and New York they have had their laws for YEARS?

There was a huge push for an audit of the 2016. Trump is the only leader in the history if democracy who challenged the veracity of an election that that he won. Everybody knows that Democrats are dishonest cheating pieces of shit who commit massive voter fraud.

Nobody knows that because it's not true. The cases of fraud that have been caught in this election were people voting for trump. In 2016 the winner of the popular vote did not demad audits. Trump lost by 7 million votes. Had he won the popular vote you could maybe compare.

It has been 155 years since white men freed the slaves in the US. and 160 years since the white man went to war for 4 years to do so, over 600000 white men died in that war, of course blacks like IM2 and ascelipous would have you believe that no white man ever did anything for a black man, As for Jim Crow, blame the democrats they created it and enforced it up till 1970 or so.

Had the North let those 400K black slaves fight in the war then less whities would be six feet under.
