Woke VA officials ban iconic WWII kiss photo over ‘values’ — and are forced to reverse it when boss finds out via tweet

It was never verified DUMBASS
What does this say you illiterate fucktard?

Life editors did not contact her until 1980, however, when renewed interest in who the subjects of the photograph were and, after research and analysis confirmed that Friedman was the woman in the photograph.[7] Life editors invited the subjects of the photograph to a 'reunion'.

It was the very next paragraph you Dipshit. Learn to read.

Wow probably the most iconic American photo of the 20th Century.
The photo wasn't "inclusive" enough for the marxist retard.

The photo — which captures an ecstatic US sailor kissing a nurse passing by to celebrate the end of war with Japan in 1945 — was deemed “inappropriate behavior” by VA higher-ups because it “depicts a non-consensual act.”

Displaying the snapshot in VA hospitals “could be construed as a tacit endorsement of the inappropriate behavior it depicts,” wrote RimaAnn Nelson, the agency’s assistant undersecretary for Health for Operations, in a Feb. 29 memo to staffers around the country.

“Employees have expressed discomfort with the display of this photograph” — and “to foster a more trauma-informed environment,’’ it should be removed, the missive said.

Doing so “reflects our dedication to creating a respectful and safe workplace, and is in keeping with our broader efforts to promote a culture of inclusivity and awareness,” Nelson wrote.
You know, the same kisses were occurring in Russia. A Russian woman proudly said that women were being kissed on the streets after the war ended.

Ditto for the Germans when the wall came down. Do the research. Men and women kissing as a sign of affection. By the way some German women said they grabbed men and kissed them too that was how much of a high everyone was on when they knew they would be one country again. They were in their primes, young 20 something year olds and they were exuberant.

By the way, it was NOT unwanted per se. The woman could have said "get away from me you creep" or slapped him in the face and the guy would have apologized, but it was a different time, a celebration of life and liberty. People relax their own personal rules in such moments.

I understand why some may dislike it, but, it is a part of history. Are we going to soon remove the Tank Man standing up on Tienanmen Square because China is now a massive trading partner?

Another example of evil democrats attacking everything Americans hold up as good.

Maybe we can have the government do a “remake photo“ being more politically correct. Will that help guilt ridden lefties? :dunno:

The commie bitch should have been fired for what she did in AZ, instead she got promoted, so she could continue the commie tradition of destroying the country.

The left is angry that we won WWII. They were rooting for Hitler.
