Tyler Perry Helps American Couple Held 'Hostage' in Mexican Hospital by Paying $14K Medical Bill


Tyler Perry has been making some news recently, firstly by hosting the last Democratic Presidential debates at his Tyler Perry studios -- and now by agreeing to rescue an American couple who were basically being held hostage at a Mexico hospital...

"While traveling on a Carnival Dream cruise ship with fiancée Tori Austin, Stephen Johnson, 31, fell ill and was diagnosed on board with pancreatitis and diabetes, WGCL reported. At the behest of Carnival, Johnson sought treatment and was hospitalized in Progreso, Mexico, where he spent three days in intensive care"

First mistake this couple made was not having health or travelers insurance..once he recovered, he was charged with a $14,000 bill that the couple was unable to pay..They requested if they could work out a payment plan and they were denied and barred from leaving the hospital. Hospital staff also locked the windows and threatened to call police if the couple attempted to leave....

Upon hearing about this, Tyler Perry agreed to pay the couple's medical bills as well as cover the cost of their travel back to their home in Atlanta, where Tyler also resides...Tyler is a great guy and he is no stranger to helping those in need -- his personal story is also remarkable...

His personal story is remarkable and one that proves if you want it bad enough you can get it through legal means. I just wish he’d wake up to the facts the left is trying to destroy the ability of others to do as he did.

The people in charge of the hospital, what made them think that any of the money would be given to them if the couple was not allowed to leave the hospital? To me, this is like throwing someone in jail for not paying child support. If they are in jail, how will the recipients of the money ever see a penny of that money when the person who is supposed to pay up is being prevented from working a job to get it taken care of?

I believe Tyler is and has always been on the right side with this..and it aint conservatism....nor does Tyler believe that anyone who doesn't become a multimillionaire doesn't deserve to live a dignified life....

It may have been, but it was most definitely the man because the medical work was only done on his body.
