Trump’s First Year Was Even Worse Than Feared

Grit your teeth. Persevere. Just a few more days and this awful, rotten, no-good, ridiculous, rancorous, sordid, disgraceful year in the civic life of our nation will be over. Here's hoping that we all — particularly special counsel Robert S. Mueller III — have a better 2018.

Many of us began 2017 with the consoling thought that the Donald Trump presidency couldn't possibly be as bad as we feared. It turned out to be worse.

Did you ever think you would hear a president use the words "very fine people" to describe participants in a torch-lit rally organized by white supremacists, neo- Nazis and the Ku Klux Klan? Did you ever think you would hear a U.S. ambassador to the United Nations thuggishly threaten that she would be "taking names" of countries that did not vote on a General Assembly resolution the way she wanted? Did you ever think the government of the world's biggest military and economic power would reject not just science but also empiricism itself, preferring to use made-up "alternative facts" as the basis for major decisions?

We knew that Trump was narcissistic and shallow, but on Inauguration Day it was possible to at least hope he was self-aware enough to understand the weight that now rested on his shoulders, and perhaps grow into the job. He did not. If anything, he has gotten worse.

Here are the reasons why:

Opinion | Trump’s first year was even worse than feared

Said the man pretending that libs were not panic mongering about the danger of a nuclear war.

Trump created the fewest number of jobs in 2017 since 2012.

Obama also grew the stock market and S&P 500 more in his first year than Trump did, and Obama was handed a recession. Trump was handed a strong, growing economy.

You mad bro? Stock market multiple record highs, unemployment 17 year low, massive tax cuts, Obamacare individual mandate repealed, Alaska national wildlife refuge open to oil and gas drilling Trump is on a roll :eusa_dance:

Well, maybe if the Democrats had offered the electorate something better than Hillary Clinton, PC & Identity Politics, this wouldn't be an issue.

Did they offer the electorate something better than Donald Trump?

No. Which really is pathetic.

But then its not like Democrats have a deep bench nowadays

Awwww. You couldn't contain yourself. Poor guy.

Poor me? It’s your problem

Clearly the answer is no.

Can you see that?

I know you have trouble with this kind of thing.

I was not asking a delusional weirdo who can't see reality and believes that Trump is acceptable. I was asking the passive aggressive guy who voted for Hillary. I wanted to see if he could answer the question honestly.

A majority of the country find trump acceptable

Your butt hurt whining is funny bro.

and your ass breath hypocrisy is sad ..

in typical RW fashion $1.5 TRILLION DOLLARS got added on the deficit while Trumpdrones wiped off their chin with a big grin thanking Goldilocks.

If Clinton had done that in 11 months every dipshit RW'r would be shittin' bricks whining about how the country was doomed, and the end was near.

It's $1.5 trillion over 10 years...Don't forget Donny decreased the debt by $102 billion in his first six months.
Further, Clinton wouldn't have done shit favorable for the upper two thirds of this nation...we all know Democrats hate our middle and upper class. Let's be honest....She, like that soft spoken scrawny black dude with the oversized ears and un-American name would have spent $1.5 trillion on bottom feeders and illegals...right?

NO, Trump DID NOT reduce the national debt, he has increased it by $545 billion dollars since he took office.

National Debt
01/20/2017 $19,947,304,555,212.49
12/21/2017 $20,492,946,882,116.34

It isn't the 81 major accomplishments that made Trump such a success in his first year. It isn't even the success of this holiday season rescuing so many businesses with an optimism not seen in 10 years. It is the dismantling of so much of the bovama legacy that truly endeared him to me and to so many others. There are 7 years left for Trump to truly wipe everything obama did from history leaving nothing but the memory of the destruction he gave us.

Easy now...slow down and re-read what I said.
FACT CHECK: Has the National Debt Fallen by $102 Billion Since Donald Trump's Inauguration?

So let me get this straight...it was fine for Barry to add a Trillion dollars to the deficit each year he was in office while overseeing the worst recovery from a recession in modern US history...but it's not fine for Trump to "possibly" add a trillion and a half over the next ten years as projected while giving the US taxpayers one of the biggest tax cuts in modern US history?

What are you going to complain about if the Trump tax cut creates a huge economic surge, Siete? Even a better question...why would anyone want another progressive in the Oval Office putting a stop to that? I'm waiting for Trump to start making cuts to the Federal Government. It's long overdue!

Siete will slit his own throat if America starts recovering from the Obama malaise.

Sad, isn't it?

FYI: The FY 2017 Federal Budget was set under Obama not Trump, Trump's first year of "spending" will be from 10/1/2017-9/30/2018 and is projected at $352 billion in deficit (BEFORE any effects brought on by the Tax Reform Bill).

You gotta wonder how the crazy left manages to stay angry over an election after more than a year. The freaking hypocrites enjoy a booming economy, the DOW consistently in record territory and their 401k's making money instead of losing money, ISIS in full retreat and illegal immigration and unemployment down dramatically but in their incoherent mental state they hate everything good that happens and embrace crazy fantasies about Nazis and the KKK. It's time for the crazy left to seek some sort of professional help before they do something they might regret.

‘Trump and his enablers have waged a relentless war against truth in an attempt to delegitimize any and all critical voices. He wields the epithet “fake news” as a cudgel against inconvenient facts and those who report them. Can a democracy function without a commonly accepted chronicle of events and encyclopedia of knowledge? We are conducting a dangerous experiment to find out.’ ibid

It's a dangerous experiment being conducted against the will of a majority of the American people.

You lost child, deal with it.

All the things you are trying to credit to Trump were already in full swing by the time Obama left office. Obama grew the stock market more in his first 11 months than Trump did (and nearly tripled it after 8 years). Unemployment was also dropping like a rock before Trump, who created fewer jobs in 2017 than Obama did in 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, and 2011. In fact, Obama had a record 75 months of positive job creation that started the same month Obamacare was signed into law.

Perfect analysis...the LefTard Loons have completely lost whatever mind they had left...they can't decipher between the simplest of things...they can't tell up from down or good from bad.
Just like the entire Democratic Party....the Left has pigeonholed themselves...they hate anything that may benefit quality, positive contributing REAL Americans. If a Bill or policy won't substantially benefit illegals and or our bottom feeders they are 100% against it...PERIOD.

Well, maybe if the Democrats had offered the electorate something better than Hillary Clinton, PC & Identity Politics, this wouldn't be an issue.
Like what? What does the Democrat Party have to offer besides divisiveness, vote buying handouts, larger more intrusive central government and class warfare?
Well, there are plenty of people who believe in many planks of the Democratic platform, and are willing to vote for them. Roughly 3 million more than who voted for Trump and the GOP platform.

So, regardless of how they're characterized, there's plenty of 'em, and ignoring them can't be a smart idea.

Clinton is the regressive liberals top criminal pick for president.
But it’s 4 of Trump’s finest that have been indicted or pleaded guilty.... with many more to come.
Most corrupt administration ever.
