Time to panic?: Romney takes eight point lead over obama

No time to panic, Romney will lose in the 2012 general election. Obama will be reelected with ease. But please conservatives get your hopes up. It makes it more fun to watch when your dreams are crushed.

There is almost no chance that the incumbent will win re-election. Salt Peter is posting based on wishful thinking alone.

You don't study political history do you? You are the one wishing. Romney is the new McCain and he doesn't have the numbers and he never will. The electoral map is all that matters.

The electoral map is not static, you silly little man.

Here, stop talking about studying history and try to learn something for a change!

It makes no difference what Rassmussen says

What matters is that Obama has a huge lead in electoral votes from non swing states. In swing states, Obama needs just 17 electoral votes to win. Romney will have to win every swing state

That aint going to happen

Which is why illegal immigration is so damn important to the left. The more they can bloat the population of radical left wing states, the more they'll be able to "disenfranchise" right wing states.

So RW'er, while Romney may win well over 50% of the total votes counted, you're ok with Obama winning due to the electoral college? Hmmmmmmmm..........seems that was an issue you lefties didn't like not too long ago

Not static, but it is indicative..

The states Democrats have won for 5 straight elections total up 242 votes. The ones they've won 4 out of 5 times total another 15 for 257 total.

All Obama needs is 13 more, and four states give him that, or any combination of smaller states.

But I doubt it will get that far. You all bought a pig in a poke, and the Media is just getting started on this guy.

Can you point out a case where a single illegal immigrant has been allowed to vote?

The electoral map can change. But it would take an economic collapse of the order of George Bush

Romney has won one election in his lifetime. He has a personality that makes people less likely to vote for him the more they know him

The story for Republicans in 2012 will be the House and Senate, if they don't blow it....... have already conceded the White House

No. It wouldn't take an economic collapse.

You are pretty silly.

People who had voted for Senator Obama in the past are either going to vote for President Obama THIS time or they are going to choose NOT to do that.

He will keep his core -- more or less.

He is going to lose a LOT of the "others" who voted for the novelty of a historic first and his clearly empty promises.

YOU can "count" on some states. NY, sadly, being one.

But there are other states which it is rash to assume will go into the Dim win column and there are several "swing" states that are less likely to vote for the President than you imagine.

President Obama is going to win re-election in EXACTLY the same fashion as Jimmy Carter won reelection.

So by YOUR reckoning none of the other POLLS that might favour Obama do either?

This is why you fail sewerboy. YOU are too easily led by the polls and the nose.

Polls are the best we have to go on as well as history. Neither bode well for Romney in an electoral process

If history be a guide? You'd come out of the closet and ADMIT you were a Conservative...:eusa_hand:

Try again asswipe.

As of today, we know that Obama has a commanding lead in the blue states. Enough to give him 253 electoral votes before the election even starts. In a race to 270 that is a commanding lead.

Romneys problem is that he is unlikeable while the President has a high like ability rating. It is more likely that Obama will steal votes from Romney than the other way around

He isn't OBAMA...and this YOU can't wrap your arms around. You're too ensconsed on the public dole.

President Obama has an insurmountable lead in Red States/Blue States

Going into the election, Romney will have to nearly sweep the swing states. Given the problems he had putting away Santorum, Gingrich and Cain is his own party, he is unlikely to convince swing voters

I wonder what the figures would be if the soley took a poll of the 47 Million struggling Americans, most that would rather work than live off of food stamps.

How many jobs have the Republicans created in the last four years?

Really Gracie? Some of us...a good majority haven't sold our souls out like YOU have.

SPEAK for yourself...which is entirely WHY you made this post.
