...this forum noticed "Trump Employee #4" earlier.....

New lawyer probably told him the truth, lie here and he could face actual consequences.

Not a surprise that when faced with the reality that Trump is not going to protect anyone, those he used to commit crimes are flipping.

When the FBI is threatening to murder his children...I suspect he'll swear to just about anything.

Dude, seriously?

Lets see some evidence of that ridiculous claim.

Did they threaten his family like they usually do?
Here's what really happened:

"The target letter to Trump Employee 4 crystallized a conflict of interest arising from Mr.Woodward’s concurrent representation of Trump Employee 4 and Nauta. Advising TrumpEmployee 4 to correct his sworn testimony would result in testimony incriminating Mr.Woodward’s other client, Nauta; but permitting Trump Employee 4’s false testimony to standuncorrected would leave Trump Employee 4 exposed to criminal charges for perjury."

you think this employee is credible like Hope Hicks?
I know this is a tough question... this time... for sure?
I hate to sound like a broken record.... but we have heard it so many times...
God has forsaken Donald Trump

......will be he lied the first time so he is an unreliable witness.....

And that is a legitimate issue to be combed over by the defense attorneys representing Nauta, and maybe Trump.

I think those attorneys must do that. That is what they are hired for. THAT is there job.
And Taveras should expect he will be grilled and treated 'impolitely' on the witness stand.

So then, it is up to he prosecutors to vet him, vet his story, and inform him on what he will be up against.
THAT.....is the prosecutor's job.

Breaking News:

A Trump employee who monitored security cameras at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate abruptly retracted his earlier grand jury testimony and implicated Trump and others in obstruction of justice just after switching from an attorney paid for by a Trump political action committee to a lawyer from the federal defender’s office in Washington, prosecutors said in a court filing Tuesday.

The aide — described as “Trump Employee 4” in public court filings but identified elsewhere as Yuscil Taveras — held the title of director of information technology at Mar-a-Lago. He initially testified to a grand jury in Washington, D.C., that he was unaware of any effort to erase the videos, but after getting the new attorney “immediately … retracted his prior false testimony” and detailed the alleged effort to tamper with evidence related to the investigation of the handling of classified information stored at Trump’s Florida home, the new submission said.

Prosecutors say witness in Trump's classified documents case retracted false testimony

Prosecutors said in a court filing Tuesday that the witness told a grand jury in Washington in March that he could not recall any conversations about the security footage.

But in July, after being advised by prosecutors that he was a target of the investigation and after being advised that his lawyer might have a conflict of interest because of his representation of others in the probe, the witness received a new attorney from the federal defender's office and provided the Justice Department with information that helped form the basis of the revised indictment against Trump, his valet Walt Nauta and a third defendant, Carlos De Oliveira, the court filing says.

Prosecutors described the witness interaction in a filing that seeks a hearing in Florida about potential conflicts of interest involving the defense lawyer, Stanley Woodward, who also represents Nauta. Woodward declined to comment when reached by The Associated Press. They said that encounter helps explain why they continued to use a grand jury in Washington to investigate potential false statements in that district even after they had secured an indictment in Florida, where Mar-a-Lago is located.

We shall see how this man gets brutally attacked for being honest.

Why would the prosecution leak things like this? Now they have a tainted witness. Derp!

I'm not sure who the poster 'Duke' is terming "Derp".
But no matter, it ain't germane to the thread.

I would reference all who are wondering about an alleged 'leak' to read the link.
There was no leak.
The information was contained in an official filing with the court.

Look, I understand the appeal of a 'conspiracy'. It makes the believer feel he is 'in-the-know'.....that he has perceived something that has escaped all others. I get it.

But, one has gotta be real cautious about 'em. The reality, once revealed, can make conspiracists look foolish. Duped.
Duped by there own selves.

The Deep State gets to another witness, just like they got to Devon Archer.
Deep state? :auiqs.jpg:

facts:

According to the filing, “Trump Employee 4” — identified as Taveras in several news reports — was informed in June that he was the subject of a perjury investigation, before being offered a lawyer from the Federal Public Defender’s Office to replace his Trump PAC-funded attorney, Stanley Woodward, who was also representing Trump’s valet Walt Nauta.

On July 5, Taveras then “informed Chief Judge Boasberg that he no longer wished to be represented by Mr. Woodward and that, going forward, he wished to be represented by the First Assistant Federal Defender.”

According to the court filing, “Immediately after receiving new counsel, Trump Employee 4 retracted his prior false testimony and provided information that implicated Nauta, [Carlos] De Oliveira, and Trump in efforts to delete security camera footage, as set forth in the superseding indictment.”

The Public Defenders are now a part of the Imaginary Depp State? Who knew?!

Call QAnon! Call Durham! Better Call Saul Too!

The filing continued:

The Government anticipates calling Trump Employee 4 as a trial witness and expects that he will testify to conduct alleged in the superseding indictment regarding efforts to delete security footage. Trump Employee 4 will very likely face cross-examination about his prior inconsistent statements in his grand jury testimony, which occurred while Mr. Woodward represented him, and which he disavowed immediately after obtaining new counsel.
Trump was indicted on 37 counts over his retention of government documents in June, including violation of the Espionage Act and conspiracy to obstruct justice. Trump was hit with another three counts in July over the alleged destruction of surveillance footage at Mar-a-Lago.

Nauta and Carlos De Oliveira — the maintenance chief at Mar-a-Lago — were also indicted on eight and four charges respectively over their alleged part in the destruction of surveillance footage.
