Russia's Luna Spacecraft Crashes Into The Moon, Ending Bid To Reach The Lunar South Poll.

MOSCOW (AP) — Russia’s Luna-25 spacecraft crashed into the moon after it spun into an uncontrolled orbit, the country’s Roscosmos space agency said Sunday.

The pilotless spacecraft was aiming to be the first ever to land on the south pole of the moon, an area where scientists believe there could be important reserves of frozen water and precious elements. It had been expected to land Monday.

However, Roscosmos said it lost contact with the Luna-25 on Saturday after the spacecraft ran into difficulties and reported an abnormal situation ”.

The apparatus moved into an unpredictable orbit and ceased to exist as a result of a collision with the surface of the moon,” read a statement from the agency.

Another piece of crap Russian Rocket Fails. Putin's failure. The U.S. Space Program is setting for lunar orbital mission (Artemus II is set to launch in November of 2024).

Meanwhile Putin's corrupt government cannot the First Russian Lunar Mission since 1976 to work.

What makes you think of me because Russia's rocket malfunctioned and crashed trying to land on the Moon? Frankly, I'm kinda glad it crashed. Like China, whatever Russia does there cannot be good for the rest of the world.
I read your post about that and remembered it. I am mistaken?

They'll figure it out. At least they got it there. Isn't like we haven't crashed a thing or two into the surface of mars at high speed.

Thats a shame.

Personally, I think the mission was Hail Mary for Russia. Not much success in Ukraine and their winding down on the ISS.

Russia never got to land a man on the Moon, China is gearing up for their Moon Landing as well. The U.S. will be returning Moon, as least on an orbital mission in November of next year, with manned landing the year after that. From what I've read, the U.S. will be using the Moon as base for the Mars Missions.

We landed on the moon with live human beings in 1969, and brought them back safely with pieces of the moon. We repeated it multiple times, and even drove an all terrain vehicle across the surface.

We currently have multiple vehicles on Mars, operating daily, and have a helicopter on Mars that has made multiple successful flights, that still continues to operate.

We have successfully sent orbiters to most planets in the solar system, and currently have two deep space vehicles in interstellar space sending back signals for the last 50 years.

We are so far ahead of everybody else on space missions, it's not even close.

That helicopter, "Ingenuity" is the first man made object to fly on another planet.

Who knows what to think about the Russian mindset? From what you hear about Putin's health and future in Russia; this may have been the classic distraction offense.

Mars is to the US what college athleics is to a state. Totally unnecessary but cool to have.

I think i read somewhere you used Russian rockets to do it.

At least Russia got something to the moon, allegedly, America did in a Disney studio 🤔

You must hate Obama's guts for handing our space program over to the Russians.

Sorry for all you Russian troll farm posters posing as MAGAs. Or all you MAGAs that really love Russia.

Rah rah doesn't change that they will figure it out eventually. After all they were also the first in space flight and upon whom we have been heavily dependent for space trips for a dozen years.
