Bill Clinton says more Republicans than Democrats have signed up to stay on their parents' plans under Obamacare
Clinton went on to cite data from recent polling by the Commonwealth Fund showing that "large numbers of young people aged 26 and younger have already enrolled in their parents' plans. And interestingly enough -- if I were you guys, I'd promote this, (saying) these Republicans are the personal responsibility party -- there are more young Republicans enrolled in their parents' plans than young Democrats."

The irony that young supporters of the GOP -- the party that has repeatedly tried to repeal or defund Obama’s law -- are actually using this part of the law more than young Democrats are led to chuckles in the audience.

It's not much different from the politicians who denounce the law, then seek to use it to improve care for their disabled populations, or build new community health centers, etc, etc. (Assuming the GOP families taking advantage of the extension of dependent coverage actually oppose the law in the first place--perhaps they don't.)

They can't quite bring themselves to acknowledge it out loud but their actions send the message loud and clear: there's some good stuff in there!

Obamacare critic Rick Perry seeks cash from law
Gov. Rick Perry wants to kill Obamacare dead, but Texas health officials are in talks with the Obama administration about accepting an estimated $100 million available through the health law to care for the elderly and disabled, POLITICO has learned.

Perry health aides are negotiating with the Obama administration on the terms of an optional Obamacare program that would allow Texas to claim stepped-up Medicaid funding for the care of people with disabilities.

The so-called Community First Choice program aims to enhance the quality of services available to the disabled and elderly in their homes or communities. Similar approaches have had bipartisan support around the country. About 12,000 Texans are expected to benefit in the first year of the program.

Exclusive: Paul Ryan Quietly Requested Obamacare Cash
Republican vice-presidential candidate Paul Ryan is barnstorming the country, promising to repeal every provision of the Affordable Care Act if the Romney-Ryan ticket is elected. But a letter he wrote to the Obama administration may undermine this message.

On December 10, 2010, Ryan penned a letter to the Department of Health and Human Services to recommend a grant application for the Kenosha Community Health Center, Inc to develop a new facility in Racine, Wisconsin, an area within Ryan’s district. “The proposed new facility, the Belle City Neighborhood Health Center, will serve both the preventative and comprehensive primary healthcare needs of thousands of new patients of all ages who are currently without healthcare,” Ryan wrote.

The grant Ryan requested was funded directly by the Affordable Care Act, better known simply as healthcare reform or Obamacare.

Not surprising. Its just like when Rs lied about taking stimulus money but were there for photo ops.

Its the Republican way.

Now I know its hard for Obama fluffers to think clearly, but how would anyone ever collect that kind of data, there is no check political affiliation box on any insurance from one would sign.

It's from the Commonwealth Fund Health Insurance Tracking Survey.

Perhaps we can get Dean Chambers to unskew it for us.

Nope no political affiliation mentioned,or date collected.

There is nothing to suggest that even the raw numbers are true,it all projected.

This is a bold face lie.

They are not releasing that info, because it doesn't exist, its bull shit.

But your premise is right, they have no morals.

How deceitful the left really are.
They never give out the full data on information. They always leave out the detailed information in order to make their political points.

Clinton left out that more Republican students were more informed about the law than the Democratic students were. That skews the Data.
If you are aware about the law then more will go on their parents plans.
Dems who were aware about the law 2013 - 63%
Repubs who were aware about the law 2013 74%

Looks to me that the Republicans gained more information about it between 2011 and 2013 than the Dems did.

looks like chickenwing got the better of us. Skeedaddle skippy!!! As everyone knows, "facts" tend to have a Libral bias not the least of which considering 94% of scientists are NOT conservatives.

It is exactly the point. More Republican Students informed themselves about it than Democratic students did. If more Democratic Students knew about it, they would go on their parents plan also.
Republican Students are staying on their parents plan because it is cheaper than the ones offered at the Universities.
It's about saving money (not left or right ideology) and they have no choice but to go on it.
The Universities made it mandatory to have Health Care Coverage.
If you are forced to have Health Care Insurance by the University and the New Health Care Bill was forced on all of us, what choice do any of them have?

What you are refusing to get is that there are a few good Things in the New Health Care Law that should still be in place. A handful of the good things should be kept, but the New Health Care Law has too many things that needs to be fixed. The new health care law harms the nation & the people, more than it helps.
We need a Health Care Law that is good for the Nation and the People. Not a Health Care that is forced on the Majority of us.
