- eggs, cheese
- bread
- cereal
- frozen vegetables
- canned fruit

- chicken

- condiments like mayo, ketchup, mustard

Why do benefits have to buy certain foods you listed? Half your list ain't healthy either. People without utilities, appliances or a home, can't freeze, refrigerate, store or cook the food you listed. They would do much better buying a prepared hot meal as needed.

If a person has a pantry full from their garden, trees, hunting or food pantry donations, then why can't they use that money for tires, gas, mortgage, diapers, toilet paper, utility bill, bus ticket, Uber, etc. Maybe all they needed was some gas or rideshare to get to work on time so they wouldn't get fired & need more assistance.
