Obama fired EVERY Ambassador appointed by Bush.

But Dimwingers want to impeach Trump for firing one ambassador.

Flashback: Obama Fired All Bush Appointed Ambassadors In 2008

Did Obama fire them once he assumed office?
That is what usually happened

Trump fired her two and a half years into his presidency once she interfered with his bribery of Ukraine

~~~~~~
Does it matter when the firing took place.
No not one little bit but the fact that the newly elected president of the host country hated the bitch could have had something to do with it. Or does the fact that diplomacy matters for state department officials bother you too?
Without research. I will call BS on that.
I know you zipperheads can't accept anything as the "truth" until you hear it from some leftist-tainted "media" source, so how about the Huffington Post, which you love so well and trust as the "absolute" truth?
Obama Firing All Bush-Appointed Ambassadors | HuffPost
If it's on the Huffington Post, it has to be true, right?
"The incoming Obama administration has notified all politically-appointed ambassadors that they must vacate their posts as of Jan. 20, the day President-elect Barack Obama takes the oath of office, a State Department official said.
The clean slate will open up prime opportunities for the president-elect to reward political supporters with posts in London, Paris, Tokyo and the like. The notice to diplomatic posts was issued this week..."
The article is a lie.
Yovanovitch was appointed by Obama in 2016, and newly elected presidents typically re-vamp the positions with their own choices once taking office.
Yovanovitch was allowed to stay on for three years after Trump took office.
She was asked to stay by Pompeo back in May.
So where is the lie?
That she was “allowed” to stay. She was requested to stay when Trump took office. She was requested to extend in May.
She is still employed by the State Dept.
Next lie please......
Mea Culpa.
Obama relieved all of Bush's politically appointed ambassadors of their duties when he took office.
That is accurate.
The key phrase is "politically appointed".
Next outrage.
Obama's appointees weren't "politically appointed"?
Everything he did had a political motive to it. If you aren't aware of that, you're a bad judge of character.
I dont know why they are fighting this.
It's not unusual
It's long been a way to reward people who helped get you elected.
"Former President Barack Obama fired all ambassadors appointed by former President George W. Bush in 2008, the Washington Post previously reported. Yovanovitch testified Friday that the Trump administration, including the president’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, “kneecapped” her. She said that she was not supported by State Department leaders after being recalled in May.
“Political ambassadors sometimes are permitted to stay on briefly during a new administration, but the sweeping nature of the directive suggests that Obama has little interest in retaining any of Bush’s ambassadorial appointees,” WaPo’s 2008 article about Obama’s decision to fire all political ambassadors reads."
Now shut up you dumb asses
A Trump mistake. He should have cleaned house of all Obama appointees January 21, 2017.
He should move on that now, especially State and intel agencies.
People in the real world get fired or job replacements all the time...so I doubt Yovanovitch will get much sympathy for being reassigned to teach 14 students for the same pay she received as an ambassador.
Trump was a political noob and miraculously won the Presidency. He was too trusting of the scum sucking Obama leftovers and I fully agree he should have cleaned house of every last one of them.
True. The appointed ambassador had better well reflect the policies of the President, otherwise get the fuck out. Even the new Ukraine President had issues with her, because she was chin deep in her involvement with the previous corrupt Ukraine administration.
And then Obama bribed Iran into signing his stupid treaty with millions of dollars in cash and gold loaded onto a plane in the middle of the night...now that is what I call impeachable....eat that one Schiff....
Yeah, turns out there are not enough sycophantic henchmen to fill every possible position where Trump might need someone to do the dirty and keep their mouths shut. The hundreds of vacancies in appointed posts attest to the fact that Trump has a horrible time finding qualified people to work for his administration.
Sorry that does not work. Yovanovitch was fired after a misinformation campaign was launched against her by Giuliani. This was presumably to cover up Giuliani's attempt to pressure Ukraine to investigate Biden.
