It blew my mind when his lawyers argued that his re-election was in the national interest. That opens quite a door. If Biden shot Trump dead could he argue that it was to ensure Biden's election and in the national interest so he couldn't be guilty of a crime.

If one of our politicians is 'dirty' shouldn't it be the US that investigates? Will Ukraine's evidence be admissible in US courts? There are existing avenues if Trump was truly worried about corruption but they would have taken years and not been made public. They might have found Biden was 'dirty' but they would have not affected the coming election.

I disagree as many thought he was too old and even BHO didn’t endorse him. Back in 2018, Trump wanted to see what happened with the collusion claims as the whole Russia collusion was on peoples minds and he was told Ukraine had a hand in it too. The Burisma data is suspicious. $83k per month to someone who didn’t know the industry or speak the language. Obama’s administration had to give talking point to Yavanavich about it.

This is not as if Trump was trying to make something up. The data is out there for both Trump and Biden. Voters should decide this IMO.

I think it shows Trump was only interested in Ukrainian corruption when he thought it might hurt Biden. If he had asked the DOJ to look into Biden and Ukrainian corruption he'd be applauded, the fact that he wanted a PUBLIC announcement that Biden was being investigated is a very different and very corrupt animal. Something I'd expect to find in a swamp.
