I presume this post is a kind of response to the news that some fanatics are burning Korans, right?

Although I understand that this is an affront to you, know that book burners are plainly too stupid to understand that one cannot burn a idea because ideas live in the hearts of men.

One cannot destroy a good idea by fire.

One can only replace an idea with a better one.

The history of Christianity and Islam is full of terror going back to the 700s. I am not going to tell the Pastor he can't do it, but I will tell him that he is a damn fool for doing it.

There are around 70 Islamic or majority muslim countries.

Most have Christian populations and allow churches to be built.

Sure there are thugs and hooligans who break into churches, mosques, and synagoges, to cause destruction of property and to steal things.

Heck, that happens all too often here in America.

What I was refering to was that you won't see an organized Bible burning event lead by a Muslim religious leader.

As we muslims hold the Bible and the Torah to be sacred books sent down from Allah to guide mankind.

Weren't those countries populated with Jews and Christians (and other religions) before they were invaded by muslim hordes?

Saudi Arabia, Iran, Afganistan all have laws against open transport of the Bible in their countries. Non-muslims can be KILLED for entering Mecca or Medina. Non-muslims can be harrassed for 'walking' to close to a mosque.

Yes, it is the tolerant religion.

Ask them as they demonstrate against one insensitive Christian while standing on an American flag and burning another. Yes, we should really be sensitive to them building a mosque at ground zero, because we should use 'their' tolerance as an example.

Burning the Quran is insensitive, but this is the USA and he does have a right to do it. Where are all the muslims defending "his" rights?
