Great multi cultural thanksgiving day parade , first act from Mexico and latin America . From the greatest city in the world NYC!!!

The new and improved face of America!

Hope it's a nice day for parade in NYC this morning. Worked with a gal from San Francisco and she would participate occasionally in parade as one of the dancing Christmas trees.
Plans for the day: family, food (ham), football.

Nice and cold in California finally, first year that I haven't made dinner in 25 years..lol I am going to watch the parade, instead of listening to it, and enjoy my family.

I'll catch it when I watch Miracle on 34th Street later.

Always found the annual event boring

I could not POSSIBLY tolerate another viewing of the MIRACLE ON 34th STREET----
nor will a visit Macy's-----tomorrow

Your choice.

For me it's a step into the past.

When it played on tv, all of us kids would watch it together while dad made sugar cookies by the dozen.

(sugar cookies and SoS were the only things dad made in the kitchen.)

annual occurence til sister got married

Parents are both gone, and us kids are separated by a thousand or more miles.

All they have to do is keep suicide vests off the parade route. Or not.

I would not bring a child to that event------I am not interested in seeing it----but if a kid
in my care wanted to go------I would drag the kid to the MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY

Being 50% Hispanic the first thing I do in any event is to make sure my 50% is represented. Otherwise my whole day is ruined.
