At what point does the imitation of life and consciousness mean actual life? I think we're approaching electronic life.

I would say we've already achieved it. "She" hears/listens, formulates a rational response, and displays human emotion, or at least mimics emotion very well.

The definition of life includes the ability to reproduce and have that offspring live to have its own babies.

Intelligence, by itself, does not mean life.
