Is The Administration Trying To Piss Us Off With These TSA Searches?

You complainers and whiners would be the first pointing fingers the next time we experience a terrorist attack. And as long as we occupy lands where the people do not want us we will be attacked, that should be obvious to anyone by this time.

Sign at Airport: You have a choice, exercise your freedom and fly without that Government Security, fly Libertarian Airways, we believe in your personal freedom so strongly, we check nothing. Have a safe trip.

Second sign: Enter here for the groping Arline or here for no groping Airline. If you enter no groping Airline please take a minute to sign the beneficiary insurance form and no tort liability form.

Or: You pick the airline, one is run according to our Constitution's restraints on airline procedures, and the other run by modern day government, you pick business pro, you pick.

'My that is a large penis / boobs!' Oh, I am a porn star, maybe you have seen me? No, not into porn, but have a safe trip. Don't you want to feel it (them)? No thanks. 20 minutes later, what was that large explosion? Damn I hope that penis / boobs were real.'

This makes me laugh, we went through these machines not long ago and few seemed to care. Fear is a funny thing, allows you to invade a sovereign nation and kill thousands of innocent men women and children, but look at your privates and all hell breaks loose.

If my family and I are safe, they can enjoy the view anytime. Freedom means little if you are dead.

Is that like you pointing fingers at people who think that Al Gore is trying to profit off of global warming?

Until you see me blaming anyone for the actions of others you cannot throw up an argument like this and expect it to stick. I happen to be smart enough to know that we cannot stop terrorism, and that the TSA and the extra security we suffer through because some people are stupid actually kills people. Then we add in backscatter X-ray machines that ionize our cells, which is going to cause cancer, at the best, and they are going to kill more. Unless the TSA is catching a lot more terrorists than we know about this security theater is doing more harm than good.

Funny. Sounds like the same argument you hear from those that support the NSA wiretaps via the Patriot Act. :eusa_think:

It is even more evidence how clueless and out of touch the Obama Administration is. Like anyone needed proof.

Indeed. They are so drunk on their own noxious batch of KoolAid that they have think that if they just "communicate more", they can convince us to like things a rational person would abhor.

I don't recall right wingers complaining when "Homeland Security" was established, removing shoes, or when they wiretapped Americans.

Please supply proof that "Americans" were wiretapped.... b/c that is still unlawful, and has always been.

The Patriot Act arguement is getting old.

With the Patriot Act you had to have been in contact with a known terrorist or emailing someone on the terror watch list.

They were'nt just randomly tepping or monitoring everyday individuals. Only those that had ties to terrorist org's.

At least thats what we were told. :eusa_shhh:

I still have yet to see anyone come forward that was illegally tapped or monitired.

*Dont mistake this for me being OK with it... I knew if it we had an administration like this one... we might actually have something to worry about. :eusa_whistle:

I'll trade being molested at the airport for having someone looking at my Library checkout list.

We don't have a problem with Mexicans crossing the border. In fact if they make it to California The Governor had promised during his campaign that they would get a college education for free. The Governor of Arizona tries to protect her citizens from these illegals and what does she get for her effort? A law suit. What do we choose to do in our war against a certain group of people that want to kill as many of us as they can? Well we pat down Grandma's and little kids and such.

What is going on here?

Your papers ,sir!..
Your papers...are NOT in order.
yep , that's the way I want to live.

Didn't say shit about the TSA searches until after the elections.

My guess is they had it waiting in the wings for a slow news day.

Place the Administration between a rock and a hard place:

They continue legal searches (you BUY a fucking ticket, and you've agreed to be searched), and piss off guys wearing wires to record his refusals to have their "junk touched."

They decide not to search a 5 year old whose parents might have told him stories about TSA agents biting his penis off, and who have brough a video camera to the airport, and learn too late that he was wearing a bomb.

Too bad we cannot have a special airline with relaxed security standards that just the whiners could fly.

If that's the story you want to stick with...

Maybe a Muslim only airlines. If they want to blow something up it will have to be Muslims.

no one has any right to look at my reading list or what books i have checked out...one might just be surprised as it would include such as 'anarchist cookbook' , all of hunter's books and many other wonderous things...i read 'into thin air' does not mean i am climbing everest...

there are so many flaws in the security system...who cleans the planes etc...shipping and cargo containers..the list just goes on and on..all this pat down and body scanning is simple for show

First they started searching us like criminals before boarding aircraft without even raising the alert status....and now they're talking about doing the same searches on trains, boats, and buses folks.

Is Obama just trying to piss us off or something?

Next step for tight security could be trains, boats, metro

Editor's note: This story and its headline have been clarified to show that the Department of Homeland Security has not indicated it plans to use body scanners to tighten security at transportation sites beyond airports.

The next step in tightened security could be on U.S. public transportation, trains and boats.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano says terrorists will continue to look for U.S. vulnerabilities, making tighter security standards necessary.

“[Terrorists] are going to continue to probe the system and try to find a way through,” Napolitano said in an interview that aired Monday night on "Charlie Rose."

“I think the tighter we get on aviation, we have to also be thinking now about going on to mass transit or to trains or maritime. So, what do we need to be doing to strengthen our protections there?”

They wait till right before Thanksgiving and start illegal and invasive searches on Americans across the board and they expect us to take it. Or is this really just harassment?

To top it off...Congress has excluded themselves from the searches....because they claim they are no threat.

And a 6 year old is I suppose.

Welcome to the 4th Reich. Brought to you by the people that whined and cried about wire-tapping KNOWN terrorists and/or their connections overseas. You know ... the ones that whined and cried about "NSA wiretaps" under Bush that are perfectly cool with the O- blah - blah in charge?

What's next? I have to strip down in a glass box where the rest of the airport can look at me nekked to make sure my f-ing crank ain't a deadly weapon?:cuckoo:

I thought that "protecting Americans" was THE most important thing to Republicans? That's what Bush said over and over and over and over again: "My #1 job is to protect Americans". Every Rightwinger gave him a pass on that and didn't question it. They stayed silent while he created TSA and created the largest Federal bureaucracy in human history, the Dept. Of Homeland Security.

Now that a Democrat is in office, they are against it? Well, that sure seems typical!

Who gives a f-k what's most important to a political party? What does the F-ing US Constitution say, junior?

If you're looking for some 2nd grade, pantywaist argument, you're pissing up the wrong tree.

DOIL! It wasn't acted under Bush you fuckwit .... this crap started last month. I know you lefties like to give Bush a lot of credit, but 3 years later is a bit late.

Yes, because if you start letting administrations take away your liberties a little bit at a time, pretty soon it becomes the new normal. Like we are seeing now.

We should have - as a country - said no to wire-tapping, torture, rendition, and illegal searches when we had the opportunity. But too many Rightwing pussies are afraid of terrorists hiding under their beds and wanted Daddy Bush to save them, no matter what the cost to our Constitutional Democracy.

What was that famous Ben Franklin quote again, Gunny?
