First they started searching us like criminals before boarding aircraft without even raising the alert status....and now they're talking about doing the same searches on trains, boats, and buses folks.

Is Obama just trying to piss us off or something?

They wait till right before Thanksgiving and start illegal and invasive searches on Americans across the board and they expect us to take it. Or is this really just harassment?

To top it off...Congress has excluded themselves from the searches....because they claim they are no threat.

And a 6 year old is I suppose.

It is even more evidence how clueless and out of touch the Obama Administration is. Like anyone needed proof.

It's a sad day in Muddville, for sure...

Nowadays, we're ALL considered to be trying to : Escape From New York City.

Back in the late '60's, I had to write a paper in High School about where I thought I'd be in the year 2000, and how I thought society would develop,

and I've got to tell you,

    THIS wasn't it. <sigh>

    The searches are unconstitutional.

They have to have probable cause and because everyone gets it then they're breaking the law.

Now they're making it worse by producing an exclusion list of VIPs.

Or like there's No Such Thang as MOLES, that infiltrate every strata of our gov.

Let's see how THAT works out for 'em.

Actually? GOOD. NOW, the Next time something happens, we'll know EXACTLY who we SHOULD have been examining/searching.

Raising the alert status is childish grandstanding anyway. At least if you alert the public.

To answer the OP, I would say the administration is trying to condition the population for more widespread implementation of this intrusion. Get us used to it, "numb" us to it, so we don't complain when they implement the same measures at train stations, malls, post offices, and schools.

I don't recall right wingers complaining when "Homeland Security" was established, removing shoes, or when they wiretapped Americans.

    You know what?

What if we didn't know WHAT to do, and THOSE things didn't seem like THAT much of an invasion of our privacy/personal space?

What if this beast took on a life of it's own, that some folks COULD have seen, and COULD have actually warned ALL of us about, but we ALL acted like dummietards, and called them wackos? (It actually DID happen, and we pooh-poohed those folks into other screen names and off to other forums with our ugliness towards them.)

What if THIS: It wasn't repuG's nor dum's?

I don't BLAME political parties, but I get DOWN on sheep, 'cuz it's so much deeper than we've given any serious thought to...
