The man's brother was, is, a prisoner in Israel. He was impresioned because he carried out terror attackes against Israeli civilians.

This man knew the soldier, tricked him to meet him, and murdered him, in order to demand prisoners release in exchange of his body.

This man worked in Bat-Yam. That's less than 15 minutes from Tel-Aviv. The soldier was there, too.
