Hi,
This is my first post and I have a question for you folks on this board. I watched Glen Beck for the first time today and he had a show about what things might look like in the year 2014. It was almost scary! I turned to something else. I watch the news channels and try to keep an open mind about everything that's going on but should I believe this stuff? I'm young and haven't kept up with politics till this year but I just wanted some input from some of you on this board.

Glenn Beck has researched everything he says.

Most of it is about the Obama Administration and their supporters.

Since Obama has the Attorney General working for him...and knowing how sue-happy Eric Holder is....wouldn't you think that charges would be brought against Beck for Slander?

Because every bit of it is true they can't bring a suit and expect it to stand up in court.

So yes...believe it. Nobody else is exposing Obama and his friends like Beck is.

Here's what I find fascinating about this thread.....

We have a genuine question, from a young person who is asking questions in an attempt to formulate his/her own opinions. And what do some of you do? You try to influence that person to your own (stupid) biased thinking.

For the young person asking the question, I say listen to Beck, and listen to others. Allow the information to be taken in as a whole, and judge what you find to be true after that.

I've watched to opposite of Beck, Kieth Olbermann, and often see the same videos shown on both shows and other channels. In my personal findings, I see videos and statements doctored and spun far more on MSNBC in an attempt to skew their point. Hence, I put less faith in them. But thats for you to decide.

As for Beck, well, he's basically asking Americans to do a few things:

- Love each other
- Live responsibly, within your means
- Save money and food, be prepared for bad stuff that may happen
- Learn your history and founding in this country
- Depend on yourself, not the government, for success, wealth, food, etc.
- Strengthen your family and community with good morales and decisions

Now, believe his politics or not, but his message is a good one. Lots of people trash Beck and accuse him of things. But if they truly watched his show day to day, they'd see thats all it is. Just trying to get America to become more self-reliant and responsible, and to simply be aware of the possibility that a government out of control can become dangerous, as history has shown time and time again. How can that be wrong?

Glenn Beck, away from the political arena, is a very funny guy. His CNN (HNN) program was rather interesting because he was mild-mannered and fair (just as CNN attempts to be all the time). Now that he's got such a wild and crazy audience at Fox, he's certainly taken full advantage of it. Beck is hardly the same person, which does make one wonder about his, er, stability?

BOTTOM LINE: Glenn Beck has a RED PHONE on his show with the OPEN INVITATION for anyone in the Obami Salaami's Administration to refute ANYTHING......any SINGLE ASSERTION BY HIM that they can refute, FACTUALLY.

To my knowledge, NO ONE from the MONUMENTAL FRAUD'S Administration has taken that challenge.

he has already outed most of the marxists, communists, socialists, in the obama administration including the president himself.and he has done it with videos of them professing to be just that in their own words. He has pointed out how congress is no longer relevant in america because he has turned everything over to his 42 czars that congress didn't have to approve.

as long as he keeps telling me to check it out for myself to make sure he is right I have no problem listening to him.

If you watch his show, you will see a trend of fear there. Never resolutions, just fear. Its what he does.

He is a dry drunk who says we should stay away from family's (republican) and politics then two days later, attack Obama's daughter.

Do me a favor, go to you tube and look up .."get off my phone"... It pretty much sums him up nicely.

It's just that you're about the fifth person I heard state that "Reagan said that" aphorism. These repeated statements give many people the belief that Reagan "coined" that expression. I merely wanted to correct that misapprehension.
