Hi,
This is my first post and I have a question for you folks on this board. I watched Glen Beck for the first time today and he had a show about what things might look like in the year 2014. It was almost scary! I turned to something else. I watch the news channels and try to keep an open mind about everything that's going on but should I believe this stuff? I'm young and haven't kept up with politics till this year but I just wanted some input from some of you on this board.

Glenn Beck, away from the political arena, is a very funny guy. His CNN (HNN) program was rather interesting because he was mild-mannered and fair (just as CNN attempts to be all the time). Now that he's got such a wild and crazy audience at Fox, he's certainly taken full advantage of it. Beck is hardly the same person, which does make one wonder about his, er, stability?

yes...it's amazing how someone can just change direction isn't it. Say one thing one day and then something completely different the next...kinda of like a presidential hopeful on the campaign trail......all the things he promises...all the CHANGE...the new way of doing business in Washington....yeah...I know exactly what you mean Maggie.

That's almost giving them too much credit. CNN is full of a bunch of incompetent personalities. All the political heavyweights end up at Fox and MSNBC (well, mostly Fox).

And I agree with most people on here that Glenn Beck is usually spot on. The liberals are doing everything they can to attack him because he is almost single-handedly riling up all the people who are going to vote the Democrats (and some Republicans) out in November.

just listen and then do what he says. That is-don't take his word for it but check what he says out yourself before making a decision.

he has already outed most of the marxists, communists, socialists, in the obama administration including the president himself.and he has done it with videos of them professing to be just that in their own words. He has pointed out how congress is no longer relevant in america because he has turned everything over to his 42 czars that congress didn't have to approve.

as long as he keeps telling me to check it out for myself to make sure he is right I have no problem listening to him.

My advice: Watch both right and left media. Keep an open mind - don't take anybody's word for anything. Particularly, don't believe a bunch of anonymous posters on a message board - including me. Use your own brain... read.... lots.... from all sides of the political spectrum and be aware that ALL politicians lie, spin, cheat and steal. Never accept what anyone says unless you can prove it for yourself. Never trust the media - on any side - all the media are biased, no matter what anyone tells you.
