New York police confirm Manhattan attack is ‘terror-related’

The thing that scares me about this dude is that he was radicalized AFTER he came to the USA.

Now, I know there are a lot of people on here who have been screaming about the refugees and illegal immigrants as being possible terrorists, but none of them have ever done an attack on this country. If an attack has happened, it came from 1) Native born citizens, 2) Naturalized US citizens, or 3) people who came into the country legally on a visa. I think we need to do something about the visa process and quick.

Then.................there is the fact that he appears to have been a lone wolf operator. Yes, they think he had connections to ISIL, but they aren't saying if he was or not.

My question is how do we stop people from self radicalizing?

"My question is how do we stop people from self radicalizing?"

Stop fucking with their home countries may be a start.

This guy was from Bangladesh and had decided to emigrate to the US. He had been here for 7 years already.

And exactly what have we done to screw with Bangladesh lately?
You'd have to ask someone from Bangladesh. Pretty sure the US is hated over there like in most countries for the shit it does that amercian citizens here in the states never hear about.

Right, doing things like recognizing Israel's own capital is just crazy.

Why would we recognize their own capital?

What's next, recognizing US immigration law?

This madness must stop!

Resist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Proof that it isn’t just nationality, it’s Islam. All immigration from third world countries from Africa, the ME, and Asia should cease immediately. Revoke any path current immigrants are on towards citizenship.

The best thing we can do is isolate those parts of the world, keep them out of our country and all Western countries. Stay out of their countries and let them kill each other.

The Pro-Islamist left recognizes the terrorist state of Palestine and its capital of Jerusalem.

The more people we let in from these parts of the world, the more attacks we will have.
This guy was "home grown" you say?
But here's the deal, the more of these people that are here, the more likely they'll sympathize with Islamic radicals, and the more likely they will self-radicalize.
America is amazingly stupid to sit by and say nothing, and sit and watch policies come along that keep the flow of these people coming here.
Dimocrats and liberals are the ones to blame.

How many US attacks have been perpetrated by those from Bangladesh? Unless you want him to ban all Muslims?
Muslim from Bangaladesh...yes regressives, we want more of these animals here.
Trump won’t even ban people from there. WEAK on terror and possibly an agent of ISIS.

Trump wanted to ban all Muslims, that was his original position.

Hopefully he will ban all Muslims. It’s the only way to make this country even semi-safe again.

Hope in one hand and defecate in the other and see which fills up faster. Drumpf cant ban Muslims. He was already taught that painful lesson.

Federal law is quite clear the President has the authority to impose any restrictions he wants on immigration in order to secure the country. His ban was upheld by the SCOTUS, since you obviously aren’t paying attention. Radical un-American Judges can’t stop him.

Drumpf has no ban on Muslims. You sound like an idiot.

Stupid...Bangladesh has not had a history of importing terror into our country.
Stupid...there’s a reason.
Jesus, another domestic terrorist attack on Trump's watch.

Well to be fair, liberals did their best to stymie his watch and import more of the type that just bombed New York. But they have been defeated in the courts now and Trump can move on with the muslim ban.

Bangladesh is not on Trump's ban list, stupid.

and the reason is what? That Trump couldn't find Bangladesh on a map?

Now they do! :D

NYC Police Confirm 'Terror-Related Incident' at Times Square
December 11, 2017 | - At 7:20 Monday morning, with rush hour in full swing in New York City, police say 27-year-old Akayed Ullah detonated an "improvised low-tech explosive device" that was strapped to his body.
He intentionally detonated the device in an underground walkway connecting several subway lines near the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Times Square. The suspect, reportedly a Bangladeshi national, and several bystanders suffered minor injuries, police said at a mid-morning news conference. New York Police Commissioner James O'Neill called it a "terror-related incident." He said Akayed Ullah was taken to the hospital in police custody.

Mayor Bill DiBlasio said the idea of attacks on the New York City subway are "incredibly unsettling." "Let's be also clear, this was an attempted terrorist attack. Thank God the perpetrator did not achieve his ultimate goals," the mayor said. "At this point in time, all we know of is one individual who, thank God, was unsuccessful in his aims." Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect to call the New York City terror hotline. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said it's no surprise that New York remains a target by many people who want to make a statement "against democracy, against freedom."

And Cuomo noted that with the Internet, "anyone can download "garbage and vileness" on how to assemble explosives. "And that is the reality that we live with," the governor said. He added that the "counter-reality" is that "this is New York, and we all pitch together, and we are a savvy people, and we keep our eyes open, and that's what 'see something, say something' is all about. And we have the best law enforcement on the globe." "The last thing I want this guy to hear is, 'You have the right to remain silent," Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) told Fox News several hours after the attack. "He should be held as an enemy combatant. I want to hold him under the law of war and gather intelligence."

Pipe Bomb Strapped to Man Explodes in NYC Subway, Injuring 4
11 Dec 2017 — A man with a pipe bomb strapped to him set off the crude device in the subway near Times Square on Monday, injuring the suspect and three other people at the height of the morning rush hour.
The man and three others were being treated for non-life-threatening injuries in what the mayor and police labeled an attempted terror attack. The explosion happened in an underground passageway under 42nd Street between 7th and 8th Avenues. The 7:30 a.m. blast caused smoke to fill the passageway, which was crowded with throngs of Monday morning commuters. Mayor Bill de Blasio and Police Commissioner James P. O'Neill labeled it an attempted terror attack. "Thank God the perpetrator did not achieve his ultimate goals," de Blasio said.

The suspect was identified as 27-year-old Akayed Ullah. Law enforcement officials said he was inspired by the Islamic State group but had apparently not had any direct contact with the group. The officials said he lives in Brooklyn and may be of Bangladeshi descent. The officials spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about the blast. Authorities said the bomb was a low-tech explosive device attached to the man with Velcro and plastic ties. They were investigating how it was made. A photo published by the New York Post showed a bearded man crumpled on the ground with his shirt apparently blown off and black soot covering his bare midriff. A police officer is holding the man's hands behind his back. The explosion triggered a massive emergency response by police and firefighters both above and below ground, tangling subway and bus service at the nearby Port Authority bus terminal.

Police respond to a report of an explosion near Times Square on Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, in New York.

Fire officials said the suspect had burns to his hands and abdomen. The others who were injured suffered ringing in ears and headaches. Elrana Peralta, a customer service worker for Greyhound, said she works in the Port Authority terminal complex near where the blast happened, but didn't hear the explosion. "All we could hear was the chaos," she said. "We could hear people yelling, 'Get out! Get out! Get out!'" John Miles, 28, from Vermont, was waiting for a bus to Massachusetts. He also didn't hear the blast, but saw police react. "I didn't know what was going on. Officers were running around. I was freaking out," he said. There was an announcement that people should take their bags and leave. "They didn't incite panic. It was fairly orderly."

Video from above the "Crossroads of the World" showed lines of police and emergency vehicles, their lights flashing, lining the streets and no other vehicle traffic moving. Everything around the Port Authority area was shut down — a surreal scene of still at what would ordinarily be a bustling rush hour. New Jersey Transit buses headed to the Port Authority were diverting to other locations. NJ Transit said buses were taking passengers to Secaucus and Hoboken, where they could take trains into the city. White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders tweeted that President Donald Trump had been briefed on the explosion.

The typical cowardice comes out. So you are thinking he should have put Bangladesh on the list? Or are you just mouthing off? I have no doubt Trump would have stopped all Muslim immigration had he not faced your opposition. But you are such a sniveling non-man that you bitched about his restrictions..then said "look he didnt ban Bangladesh alieens so he is to blame."
This is why Americans are done with your ilk.

Saw the footage. Looked like he might have blown his leg off. :2up:***SARCASM ALERT*** I'm waiting for the liberals to come out of their safe spaces and scream ban all pipes because they can injure or kill massive amounts of people from just one pipe...yeah I'm not holding my breath.

Was there anyone at all who when hearing this news thought "those damn quakers are at it again"? I am speaking of humans...not liberals. And the answer is "of course not. We all knew it was a muslim".

That being the case let us ask a simple question. How best do we stop the threat of Muslim terrorism in the US? C'mon..this one is easy.

Everytime I hear this shit I figure it's one of two choices.

1. The religion of pieces is at it again

2. Some nut job whom everyone knew was mentally unstable managed to get ahold of something he shouldn't have and unfortunately for the rest of us that thing wasn't a straight jacket.
