Too costly to detain Millions of people and not fair to them. It would actually be cheaper to buy each one of them a plane ticket home, as expensive as that sounds.
Sending them ALL back is the best way to stop more from coming. Once they hear that everyone is being sent back, then miraculously they will all stop coming.
Let them apply for assylum at home embassys.
