Explaining Socialism to a Republican

Name one thing that has been privatized in the last 30 years.

Look it up.

In other words, you can't name anything.
prisons! you want fries with that.

OK, that's one.
as per your lame ass pontification " Name one thing that has been privatized in the last 30 years"
all I NEED IS ONE.
An adult would admit their mistake right about now. I won't hold my breath..

that's false and you know it but spreading have baked bullshit is your forte .
actual answerer: So was Frank Marshall Davis a Communist?

That rather depends on who you believe. Davis was certainly accused of being a communist (along quite a long list of other people) by the now infamous House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) back in 1950 (11 years before Obama was born). The accusation was based on articles he wrote for the Hawaii Record newspaper, accused of being a Communist “front organization“, something which the newspaper did not admit.

It’s fair to call Davis a “radical” but then lots of people were “radicals” back in the 1960’s (you had to be there). It was time when African Americans were building a new identity flush with the freedoms granted by the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act. There was a lot of anger about the Vietnam War. This was the time into which Obama was born.

Don't be absurd. Frank Marshall Davis was a Communist. You know it, I know it, everyone with any background knows it.

Denying water is wet does not render your argument compelling.

I actually asked OnePercenter. He said "look at all the lame-ass privatization Republicans have done." One thing is trivial, especially when you consider an industry as small as the prison industry. When you attempt to blame privatization for economic problems, then you should be able to produce a long list of examples, not just one.

The Declaration was a form of propaganda and had no legal force.
Of course only a scummy treasonous stupid liberal would say that. The Declaration reversed 100,000 years of human history in a second. Like the birth of Christ it was a huge and monumental leap forward.
So what was the purpose of the Declaration of Independence?
To reverse 100,000 years of human history in a second. Like the birth of Christ it was a huge and monumental leap forward.
fasle ....you'll have to start again,,
Since we had voted independence on July 2nd, the new nation now wanted allies. Only one third of the colonists supported the Revolution and one third was loyal to Britain and one third could care less. Add to that that we wanted a European ally namely the traditional enemy of Britain, France. Jefferson had written the Declaration with that in mind.
George III was making few laws but Parliament was, and instead of attacking Parliament Jefferson blamed George. Why place blame on one man rather than the Parliament? Who is easier to blame, the US president or Congress? Why also did Jefferson change Locke's "property" to "pursuit of happiness?" One other note, Jefferson wrote the argument as a syllogism of logic, probably a requirement at William and Mary at that time.

dear, thats a good effort for a child, but you are talking trivia about the Declaration when our subject is the importance of the Declaration. Do you understand?

Thomas believes that the Declaration’s principles are foundational to the Constitution – they “preced[e] and underl[ie] the Constitution” – and he grounds his opinions explicitly in them. In a 1987 article in the Howard Law Journal, Thomas declared that “the ‘original intention’ of the Constitution [was] to be the fulfillment of the ideals of the Declaration of Independence, as Lincoln, Frederick Douglass, and the Founders understood it.”

For Thomas, the higher law principles of the Declaration not only offer insight into how to interpret the Constitution but also provide the “best defense of limited government, of the separation of powers, and of the judicial restraint that flows from the commitment to limited government.” They also offer “our best defense of judicial review – a judiciary active in defending the Constitution, but judicious in its restraint and moderation. Rather than being a justification of the worst type of judicial activism, higher law is the only alternative to the willfulness of both run-amok majorities and run-amok judges.”

dear, if you feel its false you have to say why or admit as a typical liberal you lack the IQ to say why or even to know that you must have a reason. See why we say liberalism is based in pure ignorance.

Considering your chronic running away problem, that's rather an ironic complaint, don't you think?

speaking of chronic you lack the ability to comprehend that I've not run away from anything.
it not a complaint it's statement of fact...

Water privatization
  • Water privatization is used here as a shorthand for private sector participation in the provision of water services and sanitation. Private sector participation in water supply and sanitation is controversial. Proponents of private sector participation argue that it has led to improvements in the efficiency and service quality of utilities. It is argued that it has increased investment and has contributed to expanded access. They cite Manila, Guayaquil in Ecuador, Bucharest, several cities in Colombia and Morocco, as well as Côte d'Ivoire and Senegal as success stories. Critics however, contend that private sector participation led to tariff increases and has turned a public good into a private good. Many believe that the privatization of water is incompatible with ensuring the international human right to water. Aborted privatizations in Cochabamba, Bolivia, and Dar es-Salaam, Tanzania, as well as privately managed water systems in Jakarta and Berlin are highlighted as failures. Water privatization in Buenos Aires, Argentina and in England is cited by both supporters and opponents, each emphasizing different aspects of these cases. Statistical studies comparing public and private utilities show little difference in performance between them.
