Byrd had demonstrated his departure from the expressed posture and policies of the KKK by publicly announcing his support for the lawfully established principles of racial equality and by voting in favor of them.

But where Hastert is concerned, it is the commonly held opinion of all behaviorists that pedophiles are incapable of altering their sexual orientation or ignoring its impulses. Hastert is not only a contemptible sexual deviant, he was offensively arrogant in his official capacity.
