DOJ: "60-Day Rule" does not apply since Trump already indicted

Too bad Eileen Into Trump's Ass Cannon had to be schooled by Jack Smith on how the 60 day rule applies. That fool Cannon actually worked at DOJ so one would think that idiot wouldn't have to have the rule explained to her.

Apparently, she spent too much time daydreaming of a certain orange subhuman ape when she worked at DOJ.

It’s Perfectly OK if Trump Is in Court During the Election, DOJ Warns

The Justice Department is making it clear that the “60-day rule” doesn’t apply to Donald Trump’s trials.

Amid an ongoing spar over when Donald Trump’s classified documents case will begin, the Justice Department has clarified once and for all that he cannot continue to delay his legal trials by claiming that he has to focus on the election.

On Friday, Judge Eileen Cannon asked about the DOJ’s “60-day rule” against taking actions that might affect an upcoming election.

But the DOJ said that the “60-day rule” does not apply to Trump’s actual trials, on the basis that he was indicted before he started campaigning, and that his trials are already being litigated.

“We are in full compliance with the justice manual,” announced Jay Bratt, a senior counterintelligence supervisor at the Justice Department, during the hearing—which Trump attended in person.

To that end, Trump could be smack dab in the middle of a criminal trial during the election itself.

All the indictments didn’t come until after trump announced he was running

Mr. Trump announced in November 2022, which is about six months earlier than normal, much earlier.

Hmmm? It is still a losing deal for him.

TRUMP MELTS DOWN AND DEMANDS HE NOT BE PROSECUTED DURING THE ELECTION

In a Sunday afternoon meltdown, Donald Trump demanded that Jack Smith stop his prosecution because the election is going on.

Trump posted on Truth Social:

We’re in the middle of an Election. We have Super Tuesday coming up very shortly. According to Justice Department guidelines, they shouldn’t be prosecuting me: “Federal prosecutors and agents may never select the timing of any action, including investigative steps, criminal charges, or statements, for the purpose of affecting any election, or for the purpose of giving an advantage or disadvantage to any candidate or political party.” THIS IS ELECTION INTERFERENCE, AND SHOULD BE STOPPED IN THE COURTS!

Trump is reacting to Jack Smith announcing in court that the 60-day rule does not apply to criminal trials, so Trump can be on trial through election day if necessary.

Where will you move Lakookta?

The GOP had their chance in Jan 2001 to do the right thing and empower a bipartisan commission to investigate the cause of Trump's Jan 6th riot. Now they must live with the fear, hatred and violence, aka, Benedict Donald's and the Neo-GOP's Holy Trinity.

Stop the grift ladies, it's really up to you now.
