Good point. Hispanics hate blacks (in general), and now they'll be fighting for the same table scraps as blacks and they'll win because they will now be a larger voting block. Democrats will knock each other down trying to curry favor with them. Obama just threw blacks under the bus to expand his base.

In some areas of the country, this has been the case for over 10 years.
I used to live in Hilton Head Island, SC....Most of the low skill and semi skilled labor was performed by black people who lived both on the Island and surrounding communities. Once the influx of Latinos began in full force, blacks were replaced with Latinos. Now black people hold very few of these jobs.

When growing up in the 1960's-70's the joke was. I am not against slavery, everybody should have the right to own a niggra...very poor joke to see where you stood on an issue of race, along with the question of whether I was a Yankee or a Rebel?
Then would follow poor jokes about Indians....

It was much the same here at that time. We even had a chocolate called...um...."nigga's kiss" that had black chocolate over white marshmallow.

And we had the same kind of jokes at school about various groups. No one gave it much thought at the time, and in retrospect we didn't mean any offence. It was really a natural byproduct of living in a very white society.

These days, though, I'd like to think I'm a bit more aware of what names I call people, and I'm happy about that.

I don't like to see or hear "jokes" about gas chambers or slavery such things, and it does disturb me that so many posters can read them and not feel that they want to call the person on it.

Generally not, no. I've never heard anyone amongst my friends tell a joke about blacks or Jews.

I play in a football team with about 10 different nationalities and we tease each other about our own backgrounds, but that's about it.

It was interesting to see that some black groups have said a few things about this.

The Dems have been wildly successful in dividing people via Identity Politics, this could turn out to be a situation where it comes back to haunt them.
