Bachmann admits John Wayne flub but insists John Quincy Adams was a Founding Father

No person (running for president) could be THAT stupid. Or could she REALLY be that dumb?
It’s more ignorance and arrogance than anything else – to believe JQA was a ‘founding father’ indicates an ignorance of the country’s early history.

Here's what I want to see. Let's have next year's Republican nominee for president have at least one debate with President Obama just about the US Constitution and Supreme Court cases. That would be worth the price of admission.

It would indeed.

Of course if the nominee were a libertarian/TPM type he’d bail on the Supreme Court cases portion of the debate because 200 plus years of High Court rulings are all ‘wrong.’

Specifically, which Obama policies have been a "train wreck…”

?

How can one make a train wreck out of a train wreck?

Bachmann's wildly off-base assertion last month that a NATO airstrike might have killed as many as 30,000 Libyan civilians, her misrepresentations of the health care law, misfires on other aspects of President Barack Obama's record and historical inaccuracies have saddled her with a reputation for uttering populist jibes that don't hold up. On Tuesday, she erred in describing John Quincy Adams as a Founding Father.

They may not hold up for those outside of the TPM universe, but for TPM faithful it confirms Bachmann as an ‘everywoman’ and intensifies their hate for the ‘intellectual elite.’

George Bush proves that right wingers will elect anyone. All you have to do is say the most stupid things imaginable. Then the left will "laugh". Then the right will "circle the wagons" against those darn educated elitists. For the right, "elite" is not allowed. They follow "stupid".

Is this the thread where the left wing whackaloons claim Bachmann is stupid and then claim that John Wayne Gacy, who was born in Chicago, was actually born in Waterloo?

Uhhh......please point out any post of mine that says John Wayne Gacy was BORN in Waterloo.

I'm waiting...........:eusa_whistle:

.

Did I say you did? If I reference you, I will use the quote feature. However, the thread premise is that Bachmann is an idiot because John Wayne Gacy was born in IA, not John Wayne. Odd, do you ralways respond to left wing whackaloon?

Now, crawl back under your rock and speak when spoken too.

Ok....show me ANY post where ANYONE said Gacy was born in Waterloo. :eusa_whistle:

And yet here you are still thinking Obama was born in Kenya.

You're a nutcase. :cuckoo:

I'll start getting excited about flubs by these douche noodles the day the left starts treating Obama's flubs with the same intense interest and ridicule.

In the last four months of Boooosh, we were losing 750k jobs a month, and his last budget had a bigger deficit than Obama's. Within 3 months, Obama had haved the Job losses-startin 1/11 we've had job gains every month. Now obstructionist lockstep NAZI (chaos, hate, and fear mongering) PUBS own this stall. Austerity is crappe at this point, according to ALL the Nobel economists...can pubs delay the recovery till 11/12? Actually I don't think so, but they're trying...

You do realize that in the last 2 years of Bush's term it was Dems writing the budgets....

Congress writes budgets, not Presidents. All they can do is veto or sign it. And there is little point in vetoing it when the opposing Party owns the House and Senate.

And by the way, Obama was part of that Congress, so he gets full credit for all the wonderful things that happened that last year of Bush. :eusa_shhh:

yep... it is a shark feeding frenzy everytime a conservative makes a flub or says something that isn't exactly perfect.. got to LoVE it. if this is all the democrats have to feast on for the election in 2012 it says a lot about their mentality.

lets not discuss any issues, or solutions to problems America is facing.. Lets just spend weeks and months debating how so and so in the rebublican party made a gaffe about JOhn Waynes birthplace. or whether or not John Quincy Adams was a founing father or whether Palin can see Russia from her back yard..

This country is going to hell in a handbasket and this is all the left has to offer?? it is astounding how disconnected from reality the whole process has become.

LoVE, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah we have heard it all before. Listen, Republican this, Democrat that. It's all set up by the puppet masters in order to keep the sheople squabbling amongst eachother. Meanwhile, the carpetbaggers in D.C on both sides fuck us all over. Then the dumbshits at home watching the one way sewer pipe into all of our homes on Fox News and C.ommunist N.ews N.etwork get all worked up about 1, 2, 3 or 4 ect... issues that don't mean a fucking thing.

Anyway, Bachmann doesn't stand a chance against the madman international socialist Obama, and all his contributors that he payed back, and then payed off with the stimulus, not to mention the bail outs.

Bachmann, Nice gal and all, but she is a career Politician who does not represent the Tea Party or anything close to what we need right now. Maybe a VP spot for the robots in the GOP yeah, but business as usual in D.C has to come to an end. If it does not come to an end, then enjoy 4 more years of the manchurian canidate, perfectly groomed internationalist Obama.

I like Michelle, but Sorry, She is not the answer for this very big problem for the United States of America. We need an D.C outsider, or a true Constitutionalist like Ron Paul. To bad the puppets in the media won't ever give him any respect, and they will continue to massively tweak their already bullshit polls. It's all fixed already, the cake is already mixed, it only needs to be baked. Read between the lies my friends. :eusa_shhh:~BH

The point actually is Bachmann has lied about her farm subsidies and doesn't know American history, but that's over the head of the pub fools and tools on here. Most ignorant, careles, and misled voters in the modern world.

I was not a big fan of George Bush but believe him to be a good family man and person.
I am not abig fan of Barack Obama but believe him to be a good family man and person.
I would take Bush over Obama any day of the week as President.
All 8 days of the week in all 58 states.

It is not Bachmman's frequent misspeaks...those happen to anyone (her seemingly more than anyone else, but that is beside the point). The woman is nuts...N-V-T-S nuts.

I know Bachmman won't make past the Primary, that's gonna be one of the pretty men with the good hair, but a girl can dream can't she?

Specifically, which Obama policies have been a "train wreck" and why? Please include some verifiable evidence to support your argument instead of just your (or someone else's) opinion about it.

U.S. National Debt Clock : Real Time

Real U.S. unemployment rate may be 22.1 percent for February | EUTimes.net

Don't let the facts hit you on your ass on the way out. :50:

Well, let's have some context, shall we. The economy tanked under Bush. Bush had been piling up the debt for eight years with wars that were not paid for (those off-budget supplemental bills), the prescription drug bill (that was ALSO not paid for, as in PAYGO), and Bush's massive tax cuts in a time of war (that had NEVER been done before).

So, the economy was contracting which meant there was very little spending or investment going on. That brought us to the stimulus which was put in place to prime the pump of the economy AND to prevent local and state gov'ts from laying off workers. Say what you want about the stimulus, but it probably kept the economy from getting worse and the unemployment rate from being a couple of points higher than it now is.

Anything else?

The economy tanked under Dem control. Dems took control over both Senate and House in 2007 and thus took majority control over the government, Bush was a lame duck after that point. The biggest spending bills of the Bush era came from his last two years....when Democrats were writing the budget. So your arguement that somehow Republicans were spending too much, and Dems wouldn't had, is a complete lie. And what has happened since Obama took office? Oh yea they spent even more.

They also did not raise the tax rates, completely debunking your theory that Republican tax "cuts" (which really only happened once) was a bad move. If it was so bad, why didn't Dems raise them back up? They had complete control of the government, and pushed through such unpopular legislation such as Obamacare yet chose not to raise taxes. So if you have a problem with those tax rates, take it up with your own party.

I will say what I want about the stimulous, thanks for the permission. It was a complete waste of money and almost none of money was spent on "shovel ready projects" as the Hussein promised. Instead it was used to funnel cash back into unions who in turn give the money to the Democrat Party. What a great little money laundry scheme. So if you want to tell yourself that it "probably" made things better than they could had been, well thats your choice and most of the Obama sheep in fact do that.

Maybe thats how you guys can win the next election. Keep telling people "Just imagine it could had been worse!"

If the Dems had actually lowered the debt, you would have a great arguement against the Republicans. Unfortunately for you, the Dems have only increased the debt to record levels.
