Bachmann admits John Wayne flub, but still insists John Quincy Adams was a Founding Father | The Ticket - Yahoo! News

the Minnesota congresswoman insisted she was right on the slavery claim and pointed to the career of John Quincy Adams, the nation's sixth president who was not yet nine years old when the Declaration of Independence was drafted with the help of his father, John Adams.

Bachmann insisted John Quincy Adams, who later worked to end slavery, should be considered a "Founding Father."

But in a separate interview with CNN's American Morning, Bachmann admitted to occasionally "misspeaking"—including on her claim yesterday that Wayne, the legendary movie star, was born in Waterloo when in fact his hometown is Winterset, nearly 150 miles away. Rather, it was serial killer John Wayne Gacy who lived in Waterloo for a time

.

Bachmann will still win 54 or 55 of the 57 states Obama claims to have visited in 2008

Is that in one of the 57 states?

Even on her very worst day she's a thousand million times better than obie noodle.

This is a joke, right? No person (running for president) could be THAT stupid. Or could she REALLY be that dumb?

It's sad to watch the lefty scum sift through garbage and trash, search out foster kids for dirt, mock and ridicule a good person. This is all they have because they are riding a losing nag to the finish line. The Democrat slogan for 2012....."Trash, Ridicule and scorn."

America's left is trashing the country.

George Bush proves that right wingers will elect anyone. All you have to do is say the most stupid things imaginable. Then the left will "laugh". Then the right will "circle the wagons" against those darn educated elitists. For the right, "elite" is not allowed. They follow "stupid".

"UPS and FedEx are doing just fine, right? It's the Post Office that's always having problems." –attempting to make the case for government-run healthcare, while simultaneously undercutting his own argument, Portsmouth, N.H., Aug. 11, 2009

"No, no. I have been practicing...I bowled a 129. It's like -- it was like Special Olympics, or something." –making an off-hand joke during an appearance on "The Tonight Show", March 19, 2009 (Obama later called the head of the Special Olympics to apologize)

Umm ya

57 and 1 to go... I wonder if Obama the boy genius ever made it to state 58?

You could actually make 100 state visits. Each one separate. You just go to each state twice. Then you could most certainly say, "This is my 100th state visit".

No where did anyone say, "There are 100 states".

Hey, what do facts matter to the right?

Paul Revere warned the "British".

I sincerely hope not. That was what the republicons ran on and lost, in 2008.

No, Captain-Teleprompter is an expert (a drip that used to be under pressure) at speaking out of both sides of his mouth.

Taught Constitutional Law at the University Level for 10 years?

Editor of the Harvard Law Review?

One of the most prolific State AND National senators we have ever had?

Sure, let's "talk". What do you want to know?

Want to address abject stupidity? Let's talk about Obama voters and those who defend this idiot residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

"Gaffes hit us all. But the frequency and folly of Obama’s are particularly troubling considering that he has an army of researchers, writers, handlers and teleprompters at his disposal.

That makes Obama’s gaffes a special kind of stupid.

Then there are the policy statements that are so far removed from reality.

When have you heard Michele Bachmann tout a “Recovery Summer” like Joe Biden did while the labor force shrinks and the economy limps along? Or can you recall Bachmann blaming the persistent unemployment on modern technology, including those pesky ATM fees, as our genius President did? When has Bachmann ever advocated codifying a new health-care law and then, and only then, finding out what was actually in that new health-care law, as Nancy Pelosi admitted to the press?

You haven’t.

Rather than promise to grill Michele Bachmann’s foster kids or highlight the number of times she used the word “Iowa” in a speech in … Iowa, journalists could turn their sharp pens and cantankerous voices to the growing number of businesses suspiciously exempted from ObamaCare, the expanding number of surveys reporting that employers are dropping coverage because of the President’s health-care law, and the Democrats’ inability to offer any proposals to reform our Medicare system."
