You'll notice the 2 red dots where the 2 highest peaks in gas prices in history are between? One is when the DIMwhits took control of both houses of Congress and the other is when president, "...the price for energy will necessarily skyrocket" Green Jobs took office!
I don't know...YOU TELL ME what the trends have been.
Here is the TRUTH for those who truth matters. Gas prices averaged an increase of about 4.8% a year from the day Bill Clinton took office till the day he left. MOSTLY because the republicans controlled both Houses of Congress for all but 2 of those 8 years.
It averaged just about 5% a year from the day George Bush was sworn in to the day he left office. And HE managed that while dealing with radical islamist doing everything they could to disrupt oil supplies in the middle east, radical progressives controlling BOTH houses of Congress the last 2 years (see chart for result of dimwhit Congres) AND conduct 2 wars...IN the middle east where we get 40% of our oil.
Obama...well, president green jobs has managed to increase that rate to 50% a year average in his first 2 years...and HOLD it there!
You want to know whose policies are to blame for our current financial situation? Look no further than the socialist policies of the democrat party.
The Community Reinvestment Act, the insanity started by Jimmy Carter and VASTLY expanded by Bill Clinton with the help of progressives in both parties led DIRECTLY to the subprime mortgage crisis that is the root of our current economic collapse!
Gas prices were originally being driven up by subversive speculators like George Soros who bought over a billion dollars in oil assets and held them during the buildup to the elections that turned Congress over to the democrats in order to fulminate discontent with the republicans. That accounts for MOST of the relatively minor spike in 06 and part of the next one.
The next 2 HUGE spikes have been a direct result of liberal policies and legislation designed to...in the case of the first one...make Nancy Palosi and her fellow liberal, green energy investors MONEY by insider trading and in the case of the second spike..."necessarily" as president green jobs put it...skyrocket the price of energy to sell Obama Motors Volts, General Electric windmills and Solyndra solar cells!
Now you liberals can color this crap how ever you want. But INTENTIONALLY inflicting pain on the poor and middle class and fulminating class warfare in order to win elections and/or promote ANY ideology...green or not...IS SICK!
The democrat party has been usurped by socialist and they are destroying this country a piece at a time. It is subversive and anti American. The party is NOT the party of your fathers. It is NOT the party of the people. It has become perverted and dangerous!
The ends does NOT justify the means!!!
We conservatives have begun to purge the progressives from our party in order to save this country. If you democrats really do love this country as most CLAIM...you'll start doing the same!
Unless, that is, the road to serfdom and life on the plantation really sounds appealing to ya. In that case, just move your ass to Greece and the business of restoring this country to it's foundings will get a damn sight easier! ;~)
