I think we do Maga an injustice to simply say "Trump's in this just for himself." Imo Trump's proven that his #1 is looking out for #1 (Javanka's bailout). But it could possibly be said that at least Trump is less a hypocrite than ..... Obama, for example. Not to single him out. I'd name a Bush too.

Imo Trump sincerely believes that global trade is bad for America, unless he's building a Trump casino in Moscow or someplace. That is, we'd all be better off in Cadillacs and Lincolns than Mercedes and Lexus. Less choice is better, because more money would stay in America. Closewashers more expensive ... no problem, if it's made in America. Consequently, it's not an issue for Trump if Putin takes back Ukraine, the Baltics and Poland.

That's not a criticism of Maga. I thought pretty similarly at one time. And my reason for NEVER voting for Trump is really about the kind of person he is, and was long before he decided to try his hand at politics.

I realized Trump for what he is back in the Reagan years. It's not about politics for me. He could be JFK and Goldwater in one person, and I'd still never vote for him.

You could vote him out. Well not this time if voted in. He will improve things for all of us in an economic way. How do you get real economic growth to outpace government outlays? It would take some years to balance the budget if we wanted to. Do people who do that get elected and reelected? What happens is we get a half assed tax cut or tax increase legislation due to opposite views from politicians.
