16-year-old Trinity Neal, from Delaware, U.S, knew that she was living in the wrong body before she had even started primary school.

Born male, Trinty would dress up in her mum’s clothes and adamantly express that she was a girl.

Trinity was then taken to a specialist child therapist who confirmed that she had gender dysphoria, but by then Trinity’s mental wellbeing was being impacted.

At four years old, Trinity began socially transitioning into a girl and her family accepted her.

. . .

Although Trinity was initially denied
puberty blockers by Medicaid, DeShanna fought for almost a year to get the treatment her daughter needed.

Now, Medicaid will be covering Trinity’s gender confirmation surgery. At 16 years old, she will be one of the youngest in her state to undergo this life-changing surgery.

At the time, it was difficult for DeShanna to come to terms with Trinity’s choice but the therapist helped her see the way.

She was asked: ‘You have to make a decision here.
Do you want a happy little girl or a dead little boy?

But, hey . . . no pressure, right?

Jan. 30, 2007 — -- Two years ago, a 12-year-old German boy became perhaps the youngest-ever patient to embark upon a sex change.

Since then, the child, known only as Kim -- and formerly known as Tim -- has begun a course of hormone treatments designed to stop puberty in its tracks, preventing facial hair growth and other secondary sex characteristics experienced by boys of that age.

The hormone treatment will also give Kim breasts. And once Kim turns 18, Kim will likely have the surgery that will complete Kim's transformation into a young woman.

What? I thought Kim already will be a young woman at 18, surgery or no. Liberals, what is the definition of "woman," again?

Anyway, Kim did not have to wait for her 18th birthday:

Kim Petras became the world's youngest known transsexual when she completed gender reassignment surgery last November at age 16. Now, the German teenager is becoming famous for something else: her singing.

. . .

Petras is also an aspiring pop singer. With over a million hits on her MySpace page, the successful release of her single “Fade Away” last year and a contract with Joyce Records, she's set to become a star.

Oh, yeah. I'm sure she is very popular. After she sings, I bet there isn't a dry groomer in the house.

A leading transgender health association has lowered its recommended minimum age for starting gender transition treatment, including sex hormones and surgeries.

The World Professional Assn. for Transgender Health said hormones could be started at age 14, two years earlier than the group’s previous advice, and some surgeries done at age 15 or 17, a year or so earlier than previous guidance. The group acknowledged potential risks but said it is unethical and harmful to withhold early treatment.

"Unethical," to avoid risks to children. Nice.

I could go on and on listing examples, but I have a feeling the only ones who will believe this already know that it is happening. Denial is always the liberal's friend.

How can someone possibly have a frame of reference to know he is living in the wrong (sex) body having only experienced that one body? Answer: He can't know that. But he can have a mental illness that makes him believe crazy things such as that, especially if he is under the influence of those that are grooming him in that direction.

and i'll tell you what else. Those doctors and nurses don't care about these people. They screw up the surgeries and don't fix them. Sutures that don't heal or that pop open and heal leaving wounds and disfigurements. And they ignore them. It's like they ruined another person and they're done.

What on earth makes you think liberals approve this?

They don't openly approve it. They say it doesn't happen when they defend grooming in public schools.

They lie. Go figure.

This is a very small group and I'm not an expert on transgenderism. I do think it's real that people could believe they are trapped in the wrong body.

For a guy that hates trans, gays, etc you sure do google about them quite often. Is it really hate or disgust or are you latent? Bet you find some pretty good porn to look at, don't you?

Trannyism IS a severe mental illness. Should be treated by a Shrink go get RID of the delusion. NOT spur it on and say it is OK. It is NOT OK.

There is no path that leads to a mentally-fucked-up boy becoming a happy little girl. No matter what hormones, surgery, or other quasi-medial Frankensteinery is done to him, he's still a boy, and he's still mentally-fucked up, and he's still very likely looking at at least as bad a life outcome.

Not to mention an early death.

Well not one of you is willing to give the person any "taxpayer" help since you are so caught up in tax money so......

This is a very small group and I'm not an expert on transgenderism.
If you mean a small group that either openly supports this or supports it politically by falsely denying that it happens, I hope you're right, and I think you are likely right.

Suppose it it only one percent of liberals who think this is a good thing, and one percent of liberals who argue against banning it by denying that it happens. The other ninety-eight percent stay silent, to avoid being attacked by the two percent. When good people do nothing, then evil wins.
I do think it's real that people could believe they are trapped in the wrong body.
I think that is real, also. I don't hate transgenders or necessarily think that they have a debilitating mental illness. I think the transgender industry is entirely too focused on the lucrative hormone and surgical "treatments," rather than psychological therapies and counseling to help them accept themselves as the are.

Let them dress how they please, what business is that of mine? It's the doctors I blame for going straight to the hormones and surgery. No way has a sixteen year-old had enough therapies and evaluations for the doctors to conclude that such irreversible treatments are the only answer.

Imagine a patient telling a psychiatrist that they are suffering from depression and suicidal thoughts because they are overweight. Hopefully, no professional would tell them, "Oh, you're a thin person in a fat person's body. You need strong prescription weight loss drugs from my friend Dr. Smith and drastic surgery by my colleague Dr. Jones. That should cure your depression and prevent suicide."

Sure losing weight would be optimal for physical health, but for psychological health, self-acceptance is the path to follow.

I did not say that it did not happen . I did say that it is wrong. Please do not portray all Democrats as supporting this

Medical corporations are chemically and surgically disfiguring children for profit. It's a crime against humanity.

You dishonest and hysterically transphobic shit bags keep digging up these anecdotal horror stories and present them in a way that implies that this sort of thing is widespread and condones by all advocates of trans kids. We do not support top surgery for a 15 year old, especially one with a developmental disability. It sound very much as though there were problems in that family and that quite possibly, the medical profession failed her. But we only have one side of the story.
