Here we are in civilized and enlightened societies and cultures in high tech times and we are not smart enough to recognize that the world will continue in strife as long as we men do not give women full equality as a minimum to what men should do towards the care of families.

I hope you are astute enough to see this. If you do nothing then you know not what duty to your family should be. The women in your family deserve to be first class citizens.

Interesting that while some here protest that christian woman are not second class citizens, many of you have said you are against equal pay for equal work, abortion on demand, child care in the work place, open breastfeeding, welfare assistance for single mothers who are the sole providers of their children, foodstamps for children, elderly, handicapped and have posted in favor of men who fight against equality for women.

first, why do you believe I am against supporting crack babies......second why do you claim I would want my daughter to abort.....the truth is, when my daughter (who I adopted) was a sophomore in high school, SHE convinced a friend of hers to tell her parents about her pregnancy instead of aborting the child....she did so out of respect for her birth mother, who had not killed her.....

We all know the odd exception my friend and let me tone it down a notch with you.

We as a society have been aborting children forever. Even many of the Christian and Catholic orphanages have been implicated in baby murders. This is world wide and a system that forced men of good heart to initiate abortion laws to at least protect those it could. The women.

No. It is seldom to save the mother but the law was created to do so. It was one of the considerations and a large part of it. Freedom of the body was the other. Who are others to tell a woman she must put her life path on hold to stay in poverty to nurture a child?

Especially as stated, those opposed to abortions are not willing to support the babies they might have saved with the offer of support.

I heard a woman, from the island of Bimini if I'm not mistaken, say that women in her nation were treated "like animals." I also saw a Chinese (or some other Asian nationality) film in which a man brutally slapped a woman in the face and it looked to me like he was wife-beating.

I'm NOT Muslim, but I would like to ask, is there abuse or mistreatment of women in other countries of the earth? If there is, WHY are the Muslim countries being singled out in reports about abuse of women?...

PS: You should find out if the women wearing burkas wear them because they want to before you start saying that they are being oppressed by wearing the burkas.
